No it didn't.

I'm sorry to tell you this. We are already living in an extinction event. The only thing the Gulf does is speed it up a little... Maybe....

Probably. But we're so low on the food chain we don't have to worry about it.

Seen something odd on the BP ROV site, they have the TopHat off, but the riser? don't look like the same one we've been watching. Sorry, was gonna past a link here but they stopped showing it.

I.e. - Resulting in higher tides?
And yes, taking into acount any stormy weather/sea swelling.

The well depth was how deep? So am i right in assumint that the crust to that depth will be displaced too? If so we are talking a different level all together?

The two possible scenarios are either a complete collapse of the ocean floor right above the Deepwater Horizon well and surroundings or a partial collapse in the form of a mud slide on one side of the well.

This site discusses the possibility of a seabed collapse and the ramifications. I'll look for more info for you.
