I think think that these thoughs are pure nonsense. But it is great to entertain the mind when you are trying to fall asleep or are sitting in a boring class.

The problem with something like the rage virus happening is that with a heightened amount of rage and dementia, you are likely to attack the other infected as well, which would effectively end the plague because after the infected kill each other off it would be easy to kill the last infected person still.

Now if we can find a way to make the infected work together like pheromone that is produced by the virus that infected know not to attack and a virus that consistently raises the aggression of the infected by at least 40% and causes minor dementia. A chimera virus could then be created to create a true rage virus and all will be perfect with the world of pseudo-zombies.

Now if the toxoplasmosa gondii were to evolve in such a way that it had a sort of "hive intelligence".

It would in an extremely rare instance that toxoplasmosa gondii would evolve in such a way to get a hive intelligence. I think a simple pheromone to help the infected to know not to attack each other would be natures/mans course if either of them decides to create something like that.

How creepy that I have all the neurological symptoms of toxoplasmosa gondii. I want to get tested for it now. I've been thinking there's something wrong with me. I've had a couple of cats in my family and handled a lot of raw meat. Wow, thanks. Now I need to know where to get tested, how much it costs and how to convince someone to do it.

An undead Zombie, a self sustaining one isn't possible. There are certain things about the human anatomy that we know and are constant. I'm not going to go through them, but i posted a long thread in a vampire thread in crypto forum if you want to see why it isn't feasible.

That leaves us with the 28 days later scenario. A virus, parasite or bacteria that turns the living human body into a mindless killing machine. I see no reason why this isn't possible. The human body is a miraculous thing. SOmetimes you crave red meat, your body is saying you need iron. Sometimes you crave chocolate, your depressed. It's plausible that a virus could make the neopallium inoperative and your more primitive brain functions would take over. Couple that with something that hypersensitizes rage reception and you have 28 days later. If you want to take a zombie twist perhaps the parasite, virus, bacteria need something contained in the brain to survive.

Imagine if the ventral tegmental area, the septum and the prefrontal area were all supressed. No pleasurable experiences left, and no dopamine. It would create a grumpy creature.

I don't believe your "zombie" appocalypse in the traditional sense is possible. Night of the living dead can't happen. Now you can force reactions from a corpse but that would have to ahve human intervention and wouldn't have anything to do with a disease. It's so complex and expensive that it wouldn't be able to be widespread. So diease, bacteria or parasite are your only options, and then the people couldn't actually be deceased.

Do check out my post on "Neurogenesis" after the op.

An undead zombie could be possible. I read somewhere (I'll find the source as soon as possible) about a man how managed to get a man who was hanged body to move through electrical impulses.

If a parasite is created or evolves in such a manner as to send electrical impulses through the human body it could theoretically create the traditional sense of a zombie in dead human that is walking and eating other things so the parasite can lay it's egg to increase it's population.

As I said it is possible to reanimate a corpse and have it move. But it's not plausible to have this cause the apocalypse because you would have to have an army of zombies, an army to control them remotely since theres no higher brain function, it isn't contagious, and it's too much effort to get them to do anything other than twitch. Then anatomy kicks in and the zombies just quit. A funtcional undead zombie isn't possible without replacing most of it's internal structure with man made items.

It is very possible, did younot read the second post on Neurogenesis and also the one on ants?......

All you would need for this to happen is to have some goddamn mad scientist with a brain like Nicholas Tesla.
