Just finished watching the video from University of Georgia titled "Black & Blue...Beneath the Gulf Oil Disaster", a short documentary outlining
the recent voyage of the R/V Walton Smith carrying researchers led by Dr. Samantha Joye.

The research team confirmed the presence of oil and gas plumes both visually and chemically. Dr Joye told of huge amounts of gas in the water and a very disturbing plunge in oxygen levels that will likely persist for years, perhaps decades.

The most chilling aspect is the fact that she emphasizes repeatedly that the Gulf has been irrevocably changed for the worse, we just don't know how badly. The damage has been done, but it is far from a "completed mistake": the consequences have yet to run out, won't run out for decades to come.

Damn you, BP, damn all of you.

An excellent, science- and fact-based bit of info.

No baseless hysteria, no disinformation.

Thanks for that.
