The government cry terrorism at any opportunity, it helps justify things.

There has been no mention of terrorism by the MSM / Police / Government, so guess what...I don't think it's got anything to do with terrorism!

I don't see how/why anyone would think this has anything to do with terrorism?

What are you talking about Jazz, any more details or can you elaborate on your theory?

Yeah they have just confirmed it is moat as well. And they have a pic of him.

Well it's almost over, they have him cornered, he has the gun to his own throat.

I don't believe them when they now say he has threatened the wider public, I think this is just the police trying to ensure someone turns him in.

I didn't believe the bit about the "wider public" either.... I don't think that was his intention... many more would be dead if it were.

He robbed a chippy, harmed nobody, robbed a house and took food, harmed nobody.

It's just the police trying to freak people into turning him in.

Remember those "harmed nobody's" came after he'd shot 3 and killed one.

Definately wasn't a case of a loveable rogue on the run.

People should search for the pic of the police officer that he shot, not the one that the press showed, the other one where he was sat up with his mouth open.

Kind of makes you forget how harmless this guy was.

I think he did have a threat to the public, even if he didn’t really say he was going to target the public the public are at a indirect threat because the police cannot effectively maintain law and order unless he is detained.

Wonder what Gazza will say to him eh?

Oh yeah I'm not saying the guy is somehow misunderstood or that he's innocent?? Sheesh....

Definately wasn't a case of a loveable rogue on the run.

I didn't think that.... but Definitely not a case of crazed gunman shooting at random people for no reason either.... A la Derek Bird.

Why should they do that?

Make it feel more real?

I think people understand what he did..... Even the villagers are saying that there is a lot of sympathy for this guy.... I don't sympathise with him, But I certainly don't see him as an animal and some sort of maniac as the media has been showing him.

If it is the case that Gazza is going to be active in the negotiations is that not going to increase the threat. He may take the view that if he kills Gazza he will be galvanised in history that he was the man who killed Gazza.

Yes i think it would make it more real for those who have forgotten what he's done.

I respect the fact that people are going to have different opinions on this.

I just think that before people start dishing out sympathy, they should remember what happened before this guy ended up a being felt sorry for on the banks of that river down there.

He was in jail for assaulting his 9 year old daughter. Nice.

He left prison early even after it was known he would go after his family.

He shot his girlfriend and her lover in cold blood.

He then shot an unarmed policeman in the face.

He then goes on the run threatening to take more coppers out.

Like i said before, i can sympathise slightly as far as the emotions regarding the relationship is concerned, but he is has a history for being a violent criminal and he has gone on to prove it in the extreme.

Sorry, i just can't see him as anything but a very dangerous man.
