Let's stick with the facts.
It was a dildo that he should've kept in his night stand drawer.

How did I not "stick to the facts".

I agree, he should have left it at home. But it shouldn't be illegal to take it outside either.

And I'm sorry you think it's OK to be having oral sex with a dildo in a convenience store parking lot in front of children.

This guy would deserve to eat his toy.

Um, of course I don't think it's okay. Did you notice where I said that it's at the very least sexual harassment? Or the part where I said he was punished, that he didn't get away with it? Or were you too busy thinking about how you're going to rupture my spleen for not agreeing with your hyper-violent attitude?

Everyone in this thread -- over most of this website, even -- is so Reactionary and Panicky. This is not a sign of the country falling apart (which it might be); this is a sign of a single appellate court which is messed up. I don't want to inflict grievous bodily harm to this man without giving him his chance which our constitution (Which, by the way, I'm positive all of you have groaned about the dissolution of in other respects) guarantees him. So I must think that his crime was okay! Even though I said I expect, and hope for this to be overturned later, I must think he did nothing wrong!

If it were my yungun that saw this I'd probably cut his BLEEP off and shoved it up his BLEEP and then take his other BLEEP and stomped it till it looked like BLEEP and then I would get real mad

I'm not going to argue semantics with you.
You asked what if it was a cucumber?
It wasn't. It was a sexual device & his decision to sit in his truck drunk & suck on it in front of women & children. He even brought attention to himself doing this.
He's a pervert. I'm sure that his ego has grown since he got away with it & has more antics up his sleeve.
I'd like to compare him to the arsonist who can't get off unless he's watching the fire he started.

Actually, you're nitpicking my argument.

What I said was when you attempt to make this illegal you go down a slippery slope. Cucumbers are used as sexual devices everyday, as are fingers, bottles and a wide variety of objects.

Would his behavior had been acceptable if it were a cucumber? In my opinion no, but according to your argument it would be just dandy since it wasn't a dildo.

I agree that his behavior was disgusting, and atleast sexual harassment, or even just harassment.

I think the rest of my argument is valid.

When you criminalize a depiction of a sex object you start a slippery slope. It would then be illegal to have a picture of a dildo on a shirt, or be illegal to have a naked woman tattooed on you "cause a kid might see it".

My hyper-violent attitude?
You haven't seen hyper-violent, my friend. Besides, I'm not the only person who feels this way. Take a gander at the other posts.

The point of my thread is to bring attention to the fact that this is another instance where the law needs reformed since there is a sicko who thinks, "Hey, I'll go sit in the parking lot with my sex toy, suck on it to get attention, & maybe I'll get laid!". Does this guy even have ONE functioning brain cell?
Until this law is changed & he can be prosecuted for simulating a sex act in public with a sexual device with children present, folks should know that calling the cops will do no good & they might want to take care of the situation themselves.

Maybe this guy will move to your town & do this in front of your mother, sister, daughter, cousin, etc.

The fact that so many people on this thread are reacting the same way is what really worries me. Plus, you've just demonstrated a fundamental misunderstanding of what's happened here. It is not the law that's the problem; it is the appellate court's interpretation of the law. I suspect that "Simulation of sexual activity" where sexual activity is defined as "oral insertion of another person's genitals" (or whatever exactly the phrasing is) will be deemed by a higher court to include simulated genitals.

OK. Go get a cucumber right now & drive over to your local convenience store. Park. Now start drawing attention to yourself & start sucking on it the same way a person would a penis.
If the cops don't show up or someone doesn't try to break your jaw, come back & let us know.
That's all I got to say about that. Some things should simply not be intended for public display.
Considering your image of the naked lady tattoo, that's fine. It's a form of artwork in somebody's eyes.
Hey, I got it! Maybe mimes can start entertaining people this way on street corners. I can see it now ~ he can start acting like he's trapped in the glass box that the father can't get into to beat his perverted butt.

He might have enjoyed your actions. You have the right to be offended, but not the right to do anything more than call the cops on him, which was done. If the law is not to your liking, contact your city council and state reps and ask for a change.
It's a free country, except for things that are lawfully declared unlawful. His acts do not qualify. Your suggested actions would.
