aint it a little wierd that, (now forgive me for all my gullibility) when someone posts an expression of their own opinion and beliefs, and more importantly, SHARES THEM WITH LIKE MINDED PEOPLE, aint it funny, (read f??ked up) that they get attacked......

im not taking a side or a stance, what im saying is , we are here to DISCUSS things, our opinions, beliefs, VIEWS on certain , heart felt information that we all interperet in a different way, BUT given the nature of the website we subscribe to , shouldnt we UNDERSTAND that view first THEN add critical analysis ?

without prejudice first ?

too many times have i seen TOTAL DISREGARD for the initial ideas presented, due to lack of evidence, lack of you tube feeds, lack of thought , lack of blah...... these are designed/thought out/structured to makes us think beyond the limiting social structures we are woven into,

lets take it up a notch, we can and its easy to do, DROP the mental programming and start to think for yourselves, there are none so more empowered than the populous today, lets make it shiiiiiiiiine

peace and love to all our children

your reactions are encouraged, nay compulsary

I myself have noticed, mostly over the last week or so, that some people have been extra cranky, or mad, or something. Never noticed it before quite so much. Some people seem to be trying to just pick a fight.

Maybe all is very bad in their worlds right now? Exponentially so

Rather than concentrate on those that "need proof" - we should focus on what it is we believe could be true or possible.

By thinking like this (as a collective) we will pull a cosmic consciousness and then be ready for whatever happens next.

Energy flows where attention goes, so try not to be distracted by others that give negative or sarcastic view points. It is hard to do this sometimes, as our own ego's jump to arms, rather than just let it go... if anything ATS is a great place to learn tolerance. I know I've been humbled more than enough times, which is a great way to grow and evolve.

There's actually a good reason for that.....

As explained in this video about open-mindedness:

And there's plenty of rubbish that DOES have evidence.

Just because there's no evidence doesn't make it not true, however you should at least understand the reasons for reluctance to accept things without evidence as that video describes.

And I would think you could come up with a more descriptive title for this thread?

If the material is questionable just put your thread up in Skunk Works...

A word of wisdom from the man himself:

However, the skeptical and often intense nature of our regular forums can often be an intimidating environment for members with conspiracy theories based on more loosely connected tidbits of information (or even pure speculation) than is typically expected of posts in our main forums. Skeptical analysis and fact checking is certainly a cornerstone in the art of "Denying Ignorance", however, as the wonderful Mr. Einstein once said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." The true denial of ignorance must also include and often embrace even the most fanciful exaggerations of possibilities in order to understand and explore the upper limits of what might be possible.

I like that statement! And I think the inverse is true... Attention goes where the Energy flows. Yes? Together, they form a gigantic loop cycle. Like... if I focus my flow of thought energy off onto someone's post, I draw the attention of other readers down that path of thought, thereby giving it more energy, which draws more attention.

It does take a great deal of determination to stay on the path and not get sucked down into a vortex of negativity, I agree!

Nice topic, OP-- pertinent to some recent threads!

Can you believe that there are actually people who are disappointed that the world didn't end last week? We had the "possibility" of 4 or 5 ELE's last week and non came true....this can be disappointing for some.

Don't worry they'll get back to there enjoyable selfs once the next end-of-the-world prediction is presented.

An excellent suggestion! I think this is the reason skunk works was created!

So in Skunk Works, you can write about topics with no evidence, and not have to listen to people whine about "no evidence".

By the same token it should not be surprising to hear people whine about no evidence in forums other than skunk works, except "The Gray Area"

Indeed!! I really think that a lot of people should really take the time to investigate a little more before posting...

Oh and I think we can add the "dreams and predictions" forum to that list as well...

Peace
