European Union Adds Most of Iran Air's Jets to Blacklist

BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Union on Tuesday banned most of Iran Air’s jets from European airports, saying that the decision was based on safety concerns, and not because of the sanctions against Iran approved last month by the United Nations Security Council over its nuclear program.

I don't believe for one second that this was because of "safety concerns" Iran is already in serious trouble with these new sanctions and it will only get much worse.

Unfortunately for the people of Iran they will be paying the consequences for the stupidty of their leaders. I guess they are a lot like the "western" world. We all know that these sanctions will effect the general population long before it effects those in power.
