The Lights Are Going Out For Free Speech On the Internet

www.infowars.com

Type the keywords “Internet censorship” into Google News and you will immediately understand to what degree the world wide web is under assault from attempts by governments globally to regulate and stifle free speech. From Australia to Belarus, from Turkey to Vietnam, from Pakistan to Egypt, from Afghanistan to Iran, huge chunks of the Internet are going dark as the Chinese model of Internet regulation is adopted worldwide.

TPTB are making their final move. The free internet has been a dagger in their side .
Think about it , how many recent false flag opps. were deflated because of internet exposure.

There is no doubt they fear the Free Speech and Global Brotherhood that the internet has developed and educated the masses.

Their next move is to cutt off or ' filter' certain internet services.

Some of what I call False Flag Opps. that went awry :
1: Back in 2008 ' Cheney considered killing American servicemen dressed as iranians to start ww3.

2: Underwear bomber : A plot to invade Yemen

If these operations were successful in their intent, think where we would be by now.
Yes the internet is a very powerful weapon against the powers behind globalization , and should be protected as such.

The internet is the last frontier for freedom of speech. It belongs to the world. I am so saddened, I can't even put how I feel into words. What will we do when they cut us off from each other? How will we ever know what's REALLY going on in the world? You can't trust MSM to tell the truth anymore. It seems as if the world is becoming more Orwellian by the day.

Senator Jay Rockefeller once said that the Internet should not have been invented.

What a go***** sick statement to say.

Once again, it just goes to show that the globalist elite do not value freedom and liberty highly at all.

The Internet is the one outlet of uncensored media available to us all.

Without the Internet, we would not have seen behind the corporate MSM peddled lies and half-truths behind every story told on TV and newspapers.

Dont buy it.

Anyway, GEE what will we do with out the internets?

Maybe I dont know, talk to our neighbors instead?

I think this is a bunch of nonsense, no one can shut down the internet now, it has literally become a life of its own.

Agree with the above poster you cannot kill the internet as it has no head or heart at which to strike.
As far as the countries listed where they are taking internet freedoms away, it is legal for their Gubbmment to take away their toys as they have no real freedoms.
You asked the question,
how many recent false flag opps. were deflated because of internet exposure.

I answer 0 false flags have been thwarted. They have been speculated on after the fact but none the less never stopped.
The only way to truly shut down the internet is to ban all communications in the world or US.
By the way just because I haven’t seen anyone mention it, Alex Jones and his INFOWARS, are fear mongering schleps.
If he was truly as correct as he says he is, we would have been in the dark ages a decade ago.
Tip: If the website you are looking at advertises buy gold, keep moving nothing here to see.

No-one can humiliate and defeat a free-thinking individuals in these ways.
Only free-thinkers can do that to themselves.

Have courage. Avoid fear. And never give in to the intention to "self-censure" your say on important issues. They cannot destroy the interenet because they have become dependent on it. Greed and short-term thinking is the Achillies heel of TBTB, and this will prevent them from doing anything that is fully able to shut down the internet. In the end, their own greed and folly will be their own undoing. And information will continue to flow.

You hit that monster right on its nose!
They depend on it as much or more than we do.
All this internet kill switch idea is for is to rile up the masses and get us to be violent in the streets showing that we do need martial law.
Don't believe the hype, the Intarwebs are immortal.

I am surprised it's lasted as long as it has.The nerve of people to think they could speak their mind or make their own decisions and opinions other than spoon fed news reports from MSM.The internet is a book that will soon be thrown into the fire and you cant hide it under the floorboards to read when no one's around.

they cant just kill the internet , all they have controll over is the DNS servers.. if they kill thsoe everything is still there .. its like taking away your phone book and speed dial.. you just have to know the number of the person your calling..

Now if they do put in place some cut off switch system the ISPs will know and that means the people will know..

The trick here is there trying to say it for security and saftey.. sorry but before the internet people just picked up a phone or broadcast a radio signal.. we can still do that today without the net.. this isn't about security or safety its about free information sharing .. they hate it.

However if they killed the net they would kill the economy with it.. nearly every business uses the net to do critical business functions like process credit cards and now even personal checks..

Really if the pull the nets plug were in for some seriously bad times.

If your concerned, find a underground DNS servers now and write down the IP addresses. or setup a caching DNS server your self and tell it to not update from the master domain servers automatically, you'll have a cache.

Hopefully what we will do is to create a brand new one. Ourselves. I am personally not tech savvy enough to know how that would happen, but, I do have the foolish optimism to believe it can be done.

Here in the US, however, I doubt that the shut down will be obvious. How they have been keeping their games going are with the ILLUSION of freedom. So we will likely never hear about the things that are being filtered. Nor do I think it will be one big shut down, but a slow and steady substitution of real information for drivel. Much like has occurred in the MSM. They dont want us, here in the US, to know we are being censored, because there IS too much of a possibility that we could bypass their system somehow, here, where technology and skill is so concentrated.

So, watch for that. Dont watch for the dramatic shut down, you will not likely see that here. It is not the technique they have used successfully other places, (our democracy, the MSM, etc.) instead, just look for a dwindling stream of anything critical of them, and a slow increase in propaganda that makes information seekers look dangerous, disruptive, and disloyal.

Remember, we are losing our freedoms in fact because they are slowly being replaced by bars painted in such a way to make it look as if there are no bars. And those are the most dangerous bars of all. If you dont realize you arent free, you dont even try to find the door.

How will I be able to watch porn...the old fashioned way by going down the shop and buying a set of dvds...hell no...I'm burning my latest copy of dirty cheerleaders 87 so i never have to pay for that again...

The internet is mainly for a few things...instant written communication, updates, alternative news, education, financial convenience, networking, a whole lot of things really....our economy runs on it...

You cant take my interwebs away from be...

Check out my last post on this thread,...

They are going to be 'diagnosing mental illness' based on blog posts soon, with all the money they've spent on stereotyping conspiracy theorists, I think we will be the first to take a hit from that trend.

As to those of you who think they can't shut down the internet, I really don't think that's realistic, your ISP is hardly going to argue with a Federal Cease and Desist order. In my opinion, it's likely that rather than 'shutting it down', they will simply reinvent it to create a system where by you have to personally identify yourself before surfing. Once they rid themselves of the anonimnity of the internet and can 'legally' verify who is on the computer, they already have the legal foundation they need to charge you with any number of flakey definitions of crime, hate speech, and terrorism. Look at the laws that have been pushed through lately, homegrown terrorism prevention, patriot act...

For the first time in human history, we have access to information and a means to exchange that information on an equal basis, and it's not going to take long for Big Brother to figure out what a threat that is.

Yes, we do have information. And that's a good thing. And it should never go away.

But see the bad thing is that the others are out there too...with misinformation and disinformation and propaganda and stories used to divide and incite us. It's an acquired skill to analyze all of this and be able to tell the difference and what's real...a skill that many do not yet posses, and so against these people, it is turning into a tool for the others as well.

For all you know, they could be blocking stories from you now, allowing you to see only what it is they want you to see. They could have been doing this for years. Chances are most of us would never know it.

no they can't shut it down but they can censor it all they have to do is a black op or something that highly involves the internet and have the masses back them with their idea that the internet is evil. All it is is create a problem then offer the solution base ideas behind controlling the masses. Just so you know they are talking about internet censorship over her in Australia and aren't telling us what sites they are going to target and for some reason noone is trying to go against it.

well, a new way of providing free thinking discussions will have to be implemented

ATS is in no way a good system for that ...

Personally, I think "they" will be quite happy to simply control the net - which they are doing and no doubt will do more of. Schools block websites for thier teachers - my husband works for local government and they block TONS of sites - in fact at one point they actually took away internet from the workers. I am not sure if that is still going on but I know my husband had to build a case to keep his internet on all day as they were trying to put on a limit such as an hour or two. ....to "save money" can you imagine? (I am referring to a major US city)

People will always talk - it might take time to "recover" from the ease of the internet if taken away or reduced but humanity will find a way back as long as it exists. The problem is the painful road back and it would be just great if people would wake up before the crash so we, our sons and daughters and so on didn't have to rebuild after a new dark age! Read your history and learn from the past because we are living in Orwellian times I think!
