Do what you wish, but, this conversation is over. You can try to argue your point to someone who is more of a professional caliber and is paid to listen to such problems (If you know what I mean). But as far as I'm concerned, your argument against sending positive energy to the gulf is null and void and without merit. If you choose to go down and help physically, more power to you. Personally, I will contribute any way that I can through mind, body, and spirit. This is my choice, and this is how I choose to enact upon my own free will. Do with yours as you choose, however, I think I've heard enough of your suggestions for now.

Ok maybe I could go and see that "paid professional". I'll tell him it`s the guy that transmit radio wave with is mind that send me. Sir. I understand your point of view of action, but I ask you this. With the recent discoveries of Science that brings religion/philosophy into the material world, why not try this?

I agree with you, technically praying or meditating doesn't do anything. However, it is the equal and opposite reactions of these acts that make a difference. If we are able to shift our collective consciousness to a more positive perspective than that can make a difference.

Thank you, I wanted to know how to star a thread too. I saw the flag thing, but I didn't know how to star till now.

I am sure that sending positive heeling energy works, that is how heeling is accomplished! But I prefer to pray to GOD than to the earth.
So I will channel all of my positive energy through GOD to the Gulf of Mexico. By doing so, it would magnify the heeling power.

Uh huh. This isn't going to work, and I know why. Because it's just feel good snake oil salesman talk. I went down this road personally for 21 *years*. I had 2 goals ion mind, both of them amazingly simple- I just needed the ability to actually accomplish both..... I visualized, I prayed, I worked myself into a convinced frenzy so strong, people thought I was nuts.

21 years later, and not only did both goals NOT happen.... Both goals (and myself physically) are ruined beyond any hope of repair. Yes, I did try groups of people, yes, I did reach out to everyone of every stripe. When it was all said and done- you couldn't convince me prayer and happy thoughts would work, any more than you could convince me a mouse could pull a Mack truck.

Did any of you ever stop to think this 'prayer' movement (Not suspecting you, OP) is one of the devious tools TPTB use to control and keep you subdued- when you should be using what talents you do have to actually fix the world....

Reason why I say this is from a recent trip to church (July 4th). I don't go, but it was the only way I could make it to the bookstore a city away on occasion. Anyways... We have the BP oil spill, absolute corruption in govt, *goes on for 15 minutes about the woes of the country*. The people in charge of the service were painting a picture so happy, Bob Ross woulda thrown up in disgust. If you didn't stick your head out and read anything really hard hitting, you'd be convinced it was all happy and good and God was in control, and....

The part about thanking God for our president about made me vomit. This person is ruining the country and turning it into a socialist state, and we're to THANK GOD for him?! Wha???? Happy words and prayers to PROTECT the crumbum responsible for basically destroying us!

I would like to make a suggestion. For every enlightened individual on this board who is putting their energy into the gulf, put this member "Truthy-Bird" on ignore. You'll be surprised how liberating that it is. This way, none of us have to deal with "Truthy's" long and drawn out posts meant to derail our attempts to send love to the gulf.

Once I did it, and saw all of "Truthy's" posts disappear, it was as if Truthy never posted at all. Lets remove him from our collective consciousness so that we can send love in a harmonious and powerful fashion.

Trust me guys. Put him on ignore so that the rest of us can do some work. Don't feed the troll. The troll only wants attention, and the more attention that we give him, the less love we are sending to our mother earth. If everyone were to do this, he would technically be in a room all by himself, with no one to argue with.

And before you think I'm just being a smart alec- I'm not. If it's supposed to work for one thing, then it should work for *everything*. Like I stated above, I have been thru this sort of thing (for over 2 decades), and now, I ask honestly- how come you didn't just think the ignore button to work, and why didn't it?

Actually, what you're really trying to say is that meditation or prayer didn't work FOR YOU.

Well, I guess you think that because you didn't have the juice to make it work that its a failure for everyone. Well, that assessment in of itself is a failure. You might want to entertain that idea that its not everyone else that is failing...its just you. Sorry about your luck. You might try injecting a little love into everything, and start thinking of the general whole as opposed to praying and meditating just for personal gain. Sounds to me like this is your problem more than anything else.

Nope...But, I'm sure that the TPTB are loving the fact that you're trying to inject fear into the otherwise pure intention of sending love to the gulf for the sake of healing it. I would actually wager to say that YOU'RE THE TOOL OF THE POWERS THAT BE for attempting to derail this noble effort.
