This isn't a doom thread, but a what if thread.

It's five years from now and the BP gusher is still gushing, the rains pollute the fields and streams with oil and dispersant; what do you do?

How do you possibly survive this scenario? We can expect dramatic decrease in wildlife, fish, and plant life.

Ideas?

uhmm... we'd be in deep sh*t... Not really anything to do but to move away from the affected area... but then again if this thing goes on for 5 years, the entire GOM would mostly consist of crude oil and we'd have oil all the way down in europe if it wont go a lot further... Meaning that the resulting oily rain would be allover...
