Now i'm not saying this is alien or anything, but this is still absolutely amazing footage.

Any thoughts as to what it is?

Care to discuss?

Thank you for the thread! It's an interesting topic!

I do believe I have seen this video discussed before, however, and evidence given it was a failed rocket. I'll have to check again, but I'm sure another member will post soon as well!

I am also open to other possibilities and will change my mind if the evidence comes forward.

Kind regards

My question is why would we even be shooting rockets in the first place?

It's a failed rocket or missile.

I have seen them here in Southern California a few times.

What happen's is the exhaust plume is at such a high altitude, it's catching sunlight from over the horizon, and gives off the awesome looking effect shown in the video.

The first time I saw one, I thought the end of the world was happening, but fortunately I was wrong

The military launches rockets quite often, it's no secret.

Looks like a rocket to me.

Anyway's just to let you folks kniow, next week will be a massive U.F.O. event happening that really can't be missed. Thou I bet it will be shoved off as something it is not. But trust me, it will be big enough to be noticed for certain and it ain't from earth. It is actually already being tracket by someone on earth but I guess they mistake it for something it is not. Well, just wait.

Thanks for responding!

I did a little research and there is the Nevada test site that is quite close to Area 51.

The NTS is bounded on three side by the Nellis Air Force Range and adjoins "Area 51" a secret military base at its northeast corner.

And

Today, the Test Site is under consideration for various storage and processing projects for dangerous materials, and some non-nuclear and sub-critical explosions are still conducted there.

So tests could still be being conducted here.

Also

While there are no longer any explosive tests of nuclear weapons at the site, there is still subcritical testing, used to determine the viability of the United States' aging nuclear arsenal.

Kind regards

More than likely TTR, as the NTS is open to the public monthly, I doubt they do much testing there.

Tonopah Test Range

Tonopah Test Range, also known as Area 52,[1] is a military installation located about 30 miles (48 km) southeast of Tonopah, Nevada. It is part of the northern fringe of the Nellis Range and is inaccessible to the public. The Tonopah Test Range measures 625 sq mi (1,620 km2). Tonopah Test Range is located about 70 miles (110 km) northwest of Groom Dry Lake, home of the Area 51 facility. Like the Groom Lake facility, Tonopah is a site of interest to conspiracy theorists, though mostly for its use of experimental and classified aircraft. As such, it is not the focus of alien enthusiasts, unlike its neighbor. It is also used for launching sounding rockets.

Ah, in my response, I gave a quote that gave one reason. I'll quote myself quickly.

Sounding Rocket

A sounding rocket, sometimes called a research rocket, is an instrument-carrying rocket designed to take measurements and perform scientific experiments during its sub-orbital flight. The origin of the term comes from nautical vocabulary, where to sound is to throw a weighted line from a ship into the water, to gauge the water's depth. Sounding in the rocket context is equivalent to taking a measurement.[1]
