A drug gang leader says he ordered the killing of a U.S. consulate worker because she gave visas to a rival gang in the border city of Ciudad Juarez, federal police said Friday.

The mastermind of the attack which killed a US Consulate worker along with her husband last March has been caught. Apparently, the criminal was upset about rival gang members receiving travel visas by the slain worker. At present, there is nothing showing if the the worker had any knowledge of the visa recipients gang affiliation or if she had a personal relationship with the gang?

The worker was traveling with their infant child who survived when the attack took place. This crime is as diabolical as they come. Perhaps, better security should be in place for government employees in Mexico? By the sounds of it, this woman was killed for giving nothing more than routine travel documents to Mexican nationals? It is becoming hell down, and the US ought to get more involved in the affairs of Mexico. It appears there is a failed state on doorstep of the United States? The government is in disarray and unable to counter the threat. It is good the authorities caught this guy.

According to other news reports the gang leader says that the victim was working with the drug cartel. The allegation is that the consulate was infiltrated for the purpose of providing visas. Of course our government denies such an allegation stating they don't know what the motive was, but it definitely was not what the gang leader said.

The drug-cartel enforcer told an unsettling story: A woman who worked in the Mexican border's biggest U.S. consulate had helped a rival gang obtain American visas. And for that, the enforcer said, he ordered her killed.

Nonsense, says a U.S. official, who said Friday the motive for the slaying remains unknown.

Americans need to understand that these drug cartels have an enormous amount of funds and can easily buy a worker in any US consulate many times over.

But I do have to add that this woman very well could have been killed as a warning to other US consulate workers that wont accept the money.....

But in any event this woman in my opinion did have talks with the Cartels, and if she was killed for refusing to cooperate with the cartel that killed her I imagin she would have told her supervisors so I am lead to believe that this captured guy is most likely telling the truth.

Because with these guys killing is strategic and drug related and business oriented, it's not done just for the hell of it. They would rather throw money at you then kill you but now a day with a rivaling war it's best to leave the country if approached by these guys because the other side will kill you for accepting money from a Cartel they are at war with.

But to those who want to see more US involvement in what is none of their business, understand that once you cross that line....the cartels will feel they need to involve themselves more in the affairs of the USA. Right now the Cartels just want to get drugs to America and not draw to much attention from America, you disrupt that and Mexico's problems become your problems. If America would only mind it's own business there would be no problem, but your pharmaceutical companies are eventually going to drag you guys into something I guarantee you want no part of.
