It is not the end of the world!

All the doom and gloom will pass. Sorry to disappoint all the doomsday people

Who knows? You know what, some people don't care. Doom and gloom seem more like an illusion than anything else. As for wonderful and peachy, get a reality check. People are still unemployed and going broke.

just thought I'd add this

The thread is worthless.

No, it's not the end of the world,

Unless you are one of the dead animals,

dead sea life, dead plants, dead gulf zones

dead inlets, dead businesses, dead futures

dead marshes, dead hopes, dead dreams

or one of the dead humans.

THIER WORLDS HAVE ENDED

IT IS THE END OF THE WORLD FOR THEM

along with untold other lives

that have or will end or be destryed

due to the gulf disaster which is ongoing

with no current verified end in sight.

But you are still okay,

so no worries!

Well the 'illusion' sure gets a following!

well I am unemployed, got 5 cents to my name but I am still optimistic!!

What is the point of being negative? Even though I am on welfare at the moment, have no assets or furniture etc, I have everything else I need.

I cannot even afford electricity.. but rather than get peeved about it and all hopeless I think, well maybe it is a good thing? There are people far worse off than me...

It is a matter of perspective.

My cup is is always full.

Yeah, Sept 11 happens everyday in an old growth forrest...I care and I get very upset. There are a lot of issues but being negative about them doesn't help.

Well, that is how I feel about it. Rather than stay in my house and think the world is beyond repair, I remain optimistic, how? by being active in as much as I can. Consumer power, supporting groups that focus on conservation etc.

This post brought a smile to my face and to my heart.

You are beautiful beyond belief, my sister.

Love and peace to you,

Namaste.

Haha it's nice to have a positive look at things

Psychics are kind of like news reporters; people only seem to be interested in the bad, not the good.

I love people with a positive outlook, however.. lets look at the locig of the current state of affairs

1 unemployment is still very high.. no sign in change there also.
2. unemployment benefits look like there are not going to be extended.
3. The US dollar value is dropping..
4 not to mention all the chaos in the European countries
5. the oil leak in the gulf.. with no end in site and the gravity of who this is effecting the ecosystem just starting..

I don't see things getting better for quite some time.. however .. things getting bad isn't necessarily bad .. if your prepared for bad times then there not quite so bad or tough to get though..

I however do thing things getting bad will be good in the long term.. it will make people get educated on the reality of there monetary system, and learn skills they need to survive.

So yes in the end it will be all good.. but it will be a rough road to get there.

There will always be gloom and doom.

This is planet earth with 90% murderers for its main species.

There will always be as much negativity than positive thoughts, so op can take there positive thoughts and do what ever they want with them.

It is so hard to remain positive but I try.
I watched a doco called
Around the World in 90 mins last night and I was speechless.

If you haven't seen it, I recommend it.

I have decided to pick up rubbish whenever I walk, it isn't much but at least it makes me feel a little better.

Hmm do you live in a bubble or something? No offense but look around.

We need to see things for what they are and pretending everything is fine is nuts. My eyes will stay wide open until whatever this storm is has passed.

just read a prediction that was really depressing so had to read this and bump it...

omg if we take on board all the negativity... might as well stay in bed and never do anything!

Ok...in one month, if this latest prediction does not come true.. then I WIN!!!!!!!!!

Mine might still have a chance

omg I just realised that most of the responses in 2010 were off topic and I shouldn't have even had to explain it...this thread was specific to the end of the world doomsdayers out there that were freaking out about the end of the world

sheesh. I am going to be the first person to start a thread called I TOLD YOU SO... hahahha

yeah, yeah I know that the day is not entirely over but I am sticking to my guns on this one.

You lost.

Nothing has been "wonderful and peachy" on this planet since the 'Elders' left this planet near the end of the Golden Age (some time after the Atlantis sank) - with the possible exception of some peaches - if even them.

Thus you were wrong in your prediction.
