MrWendal, I respectfully disagree. Perhaps, in major cities, with strict (illegal) gun-control, many do not have AR's (or ADMIT they do!), but, in rural ares, it is completly different. Heck, I don't know ANYONE, who DOESN'T own AT LEAST ONE AR! I've got a rack of'em! Everything from 24" sniper version, to a BUNCH of (registered SBR, of course!) 10.5" shorties! WITH Gemtech cans! (Funny thing is, the 10.5" w/suppressor, is almost as accurate, as the 24", USING HEAVIER BULLETTS!)
No, there is no shortage of firearms, in America, or ammo. NOR PATRIOTS! We have MILLIONS of VETRANS, who have ALREADY sworn to defend our country, "from all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC".
WHEN a magic number is reached, of people who have lost EVERYTHING, or, the FEDGOV steps over SOME line- we WILL react, in numbers, in force. I do NOT believe it is possible, to solve our situation peacefully, anymore. I've been trying, ALL of my adult life. I've voted FOR one President- and AGAINST all others. ALL of them (with VERY few exemptions), are scoundrels. ANYONE who WANTS to be in Government (control), SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO!
I'd rather see, names picked from a hat, of landowners. I say landowners, because WE pay most of the direct taxes- WE have more "at stake", in the system. Giving every snot-nosed 18 year-old who is breathing, a vote, is suicide. As we are now seeing! There IS a reason, they draft 18 year-olds- ADULTS, are generally too smart, to be led that easily.
Then again- a plurality of ALL humans, are TERRIFIED, by the concept of freedom. They would be much more comfortable, in perpetual childhood, with BIG BROTHER, watching over them. What a shame, they cannot be bred-out of the race!

i think it has began, look to the south do you know who and what is coming in? i do not think any does and the TPTB might know but then what do we know. did you know that a sheriff office, yes office some 20, officers have a bounty on them from the drug lords, were are the feds? what help is that office getting ? as far as i know none.

The first act of honest resistance is withholding what the ememy wants, ie, eg your money and obesiance.
You can fuss, make a stink, hold your breath til you turn blue, but dont you ever EVER think of keeping what you earn for yourself and for the security of your family.
If you shoot you'll only hit functionaries. If you starve the beast, they run out of bribes for their functionaries that shield them.
ANY thoughts of STARTING with a general shooting rebellion is a waste of time, for they'll just send more funtionaries to avenge functionaries and any attempt at real change is sidetracked to criminality and a law enforcement action, and the purpose ie focusing on a real problem is lost.
As long as there are functionaries willing to sell their allegiance and service for a paycheck no good will come of it. Cut off the paycheck and the game changes.
What good is board posing of going to war and destroying when the real lever to topple the tower of Babel is what you choose to do with a pen.
Truely the pen is mightier than the sword. For those that seek only combat, no need to go look for it, it will come to you and your wishes come true.
Dont bother to talk about guns if you cant control your pen.

I know you are amusing yourself however I hope you are correct and I am absolutely wrong.

Armed revolution could happen if they stirred up the masses enough, but I think it would happen kinda like when people started throwing rocks through politicians office windows, and one even seen bullet holes through their window. Nobody really wants to fight the army or police, I mean I know I got friends in the military I would never want to fight them and vice versa (and depending on the circumstance the military takes an oath to defend the constitution so maybe they would help, military coup style)

but really, what would we replace them with? another fresh set of crazies with outlandish ideas that quickly get corrupted by their new power? seems like what happens in most other countries in the world.


but instead of all the bloodshed I think I have a better idea...the government could care less about their paid peons that get killed, so hit them where it really hurts....their pockets.

say one year enough of the population was absolutely fed up with the government so everyone decides to....NOT PAY TAXES....I can just imagine how bad they would be crapping themselfs, good luck to the IRS trying to jail us all because all the peons will quit after they dont get paid.

and I didnt read the whole thread, but a civil war would be REALLY bad, not just because how many would die, it would be the PERFECT opportunity for the countries that really hate us to make their move.

If armed conflict broke out and the movement was popular enough, I don't see the entire military moving to put it out. In fact, I would almost bet that some commanders would join in on the side of freedom, against tyranny. We can say that the President is the Commander in Chief all that we want, but soldiers trust their direct commanders. I believe that if the government tried to use the military against our own people, many commanders would turn against the government.

Also, you have to take into account all of the military veterans, active military members and police officers who take their oath as serious as should be. There is a movement called the Oath Keepers that is all about this very situation and reminding soldiers that their oath is to the constitution and country, not any politician.

Now, the only problem that I see, is the government labeling any uprising as a "terrorist attack" and getting the general public to believe that they are being attacked by "terrorists". In between their American Idol and Ent. News stories on Paris Hilton's shoe color, they would be condemning any uprising, believing the government that they are terrorists. In this event, not a single military leader wouldn't be stupid or brave enough to step in. This is why I say it has to be big enough and popular enough.

If it is just the people against the military and alphabet agencies, then the people would be doomed. The 2nd Amendment has been completely gutted, making it basically useless. The 2nd Amendment was put into place for the American people, as a last resort to over throw government if need be or to dislodge tyranny. However, you can't realize that goal if the citizens aren't able to arm themselves in the same manner as the government. With the drones flying 50,000 ft., armed with missiles, any group of rebels will be quickly dealt with before they even leave their homes.

Sadly, most Americans won't even wake up until it's far too late. Unfortunately, they are so far asleep that it would take something drastic, such as months in a FEMA Camp or the government murdering their families before they realize what's going on and decide to do something about it. The government is slowly but surely, ensuring that we have no chance what-so-ever to dislodge their brand of tyranny by taking away our liberties and abilities to fight them. Unfortunately, by the time that most Americans wake up, it will be far too late to do anything about it.

I think that we are [snip]-creek without a paddle. The pooch has already been screwed and all we can really do is hope for the best. Americans were too lazy and too ignorant that resulted in them dropping the ball and shooting themselves in the foot. This is nobody's fault but our own. We had been warned time and time again by our forefathers and every other patriot about what not to do and what would happen if we didn't heed their warnings. All we had to do was follow the Constitution and ensure nobody trampled on it, yet we failed in that very simple task. Our current brand of tyranny isn't some huge conspiracy, it was inevitable if we didn't abide by the Constitution, word for word. If it wasn't the current leaders being tyrants, it would be someone else as tyrants. This we know because of our founding fathers. Tyranny is inevitable if you don't closely guard your government and stay vigilant and that is exactly what our forefathers were trying to instill in us. It's not if tyranny pops up but when and that "when" is the exact same moment that you lower your guard. All we had to do was listen to our wise founding fathers, yet we didn't.

The American citizen is slow to anger, and quick to action. We form a very odd curve in the math of it.

It takes a long time to boil this pot. The soup is thick and heavy with opinion. Like millions and hundreds of millions of bipolar molecules in every direction. Though none of us know what it is, there is a magnet, of sorts, that can set us off spontaneously. Once it aligns all our magnets, we all face in one direction in a coherent force. For now we are divided, and it is growing deeper. I pray, but I know. In the end, half of us will turn to one direction, the other half will turn another. For just as when soup finally does boil over, a lot of liquid remains as the most hot headed parts explode into the air.

So is the American mind. Slow to anger, but rest assured, the government is unsustainable as it is now. In time if they continue, they will see the affects. So I pray voting them out solves the problem.

Let me ask you one question and then ask this question to as many people as you see and enlist only the ways that anwser no, because that's what it will take. That question is; are you afraid of death? For you must be ride or die on this issue and you only needs ones that are ride or die and that is why nothing has happened. The ride and dies ones are to far and between and would need to rally together first in order to get the weakers ones to follow and since no one has rallied together the ride or die ones yet the weak ones aint doing anything. Which means no revolution. If you ask me that's the only reason that we aren't in a revolution already, no one or group of people rallying peoples together...

All moral objections to slavery aside - those were jobs that could have been done for a decent wage. So, once again, we see people fighting against their own self-interest.

Slavery then is like illegal immigration now. The rich and powerful don't want to cut off the supply of easily exploitable workers.

And don't even start with the "it wasn't about slavery" routine. Go read the articles of secession of the states that rebelled and you'll see numerous references to slavery - usually right at the beginning.

The Two Party System is to blame. Hence depending on the particulars of how you chose to cast your vote, or not, you can assume some blame yourself. Many of us have been too busy sitting in the audience watching for too long. (I'm guilty) When enough people get mad, and take the time to think this through...You will see the answer is the Independent Party must unite and form a party to rival the existing ones. (I've polled enough people to know this is possible.)

The general public are too busy working to pay the bills to pay attention to politics. They rely on the media to help them decide their votes. Somehow they must be reached and provided with new wisdom. Marketing, Advertising, Media dollars need to be matched in any way. So when enough Independents get mad enough to put their money, and volunteer efforts where their mouth is to protect the Constitution...May the free press and public run media thrive!

In the same way Austrailia is solving their political dillemmas...The Green Party here could easily do the same...if there is enough participation.

The self defeating, self deluding flaw in your missive is that you wait for the courts or some outside controlling legal authority to be your savior, the courts will never be, they are there to legitimize extraction of value from the public to the elite by redifining what is already obvious into the oppoisite of its intent. You can play their game, but you wont be allowed to actually win and in diving into that cesspool you end up smelling as they do.

This is no game, and while if everyone were to do it the system may be overwhelmed, seems nobody hears of or pays respect to those that already volunteered for a place at the front of the line, at the pointy and painful end. Domination by superior fire power didnt win vietnam it wont do anything thing here either, if the people collectively went to a voluntary black out IE unplug all connections to the internet cell phones, parked cars equipped with gps in a community parking lot for safe storage etc etc etc, that would seriously reduce the amount of intelligence being gathered and that would cause tons of concern I would like to see how the FED would respond to that, probe them with little control towns, perfect little places to go offline would be those border towns the FED would most certainley investigate and when they get there and see thousands of citizens peacefully assembled in there churches, teaching children there school lessons, having picnics and doing things the old fashioned way might actually scare them especially if their are ranks of stack arms near by and they are completely offline, there would be hell to pay for no reason something would happen there I am sure.
