IRS fails government audit

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/fc73e72e602c.jpg[/atsimg]

Getting audited is such a hassle! Just ask the IRS.

A new report from the Government Accountability Office inspected the
tax agency's financial statements from the 2009 fiscal year with the
exacting thoroughness of, well, of an IRS auditor, and found a few
billion-dollar errors.

According to the report (PDF), the IRS made a variety of accounting
errors last year that "could adversely affect the reliability of its financial
statements" and result in "duplicate or erroneous refunds." Among the
mistakes were a "failure to record the receipt of a taxpayer’s $3 million
payment" and an $8 billion discrepancy between two accounting systems
tracking how much money taxpayers owe. The audit also found a
$5.1 billion "unexplained variance" between the total amount the agency
took in last year and the amount its detailed tax files said it took in.

But what's a few billion here or there, right?

5B plus 8B = 13B in just 1 year !!!!

How in the he!! can you lose 13 Billion dollars???

But I didn't see the Gov slap them with a fine
like they do us when we make a mistake.

You don't. You do with it exactly what you want or are told to do with it, and don't right it down, and assume that you will never be audited, like usual.

I feel that is just the tip of the iceberg.

The IRS itself is another quasi-governmental private corporation just like the criminal federal reserve system.

Nothing federal about it.

A totally lawless criminal organization of street thugs.

I'd sure like to see some penalties.

But what are you gonna do, its like telling your 5 year old he can figure out how to punish himself. He'll be watching spongebob and eating all the snacks the rest of the day.

I particularly liked this quote...

In truth, the shortcomings are all relatively minor infractions given the size of the IRS

This guy probably tells his wife her big vagina just makes his penis look small.

Yeah 13billion is chump change, but they are garnishing my buddies check over $800 which was their mistake.

I bet Karzai shipped some of that money out in Afghanistan.

I also liked how they lost a guys million dollar payment, I wonder if he had to pay that again or if they finally figured out he did but they lost. And knowing the IRS, they probably said "well you were supposed to pay us, and since the money was lost, you didn't pay us...."

I believe ur right
I just didn't want to be the first to say it.
It's intentional banking fraud IMO.

Just like that 2 Trillion dollar loss at the Pentagon
1 day before a 9/11 object destroyed the evidence
of a cover-up.

Exactly there will be no accountability even if it was a 30 billion dollar

mistake. It is government at it's best.

The ironic side of this is the pounding the people at the GAO are going to get at their next 'personal' audits.

And by the way, yes; the corporate entity we call the IRS isn't what it appears to be. I know my parents were fooled, as many others still are.

Bah, the DOD lost a trillion bucks, and some of those people were promoted, one of them,Jamie Gorelick, even got to sit on the 9-11 commission then go on to loose another 10 billion through Fannie Mae. Cronyism blatantly rewards this kind of behavior, and We the People sit here in awe and do nothing to stop it. But then again, What can we do?

The IRS is Missing Billions of Dollars ?

The IRS aka Internal Ripoff Service is the collection agency for the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank.

I have already posted this in the past but will point this out again.
This I learned from READING the book "Goodbye April 15th!".

Whenever a check is sent to the IRS, it is endorsed with the following:

"Pay any F.R.B. Branch or Gen. Depository for Credit U.S. Treas. This is in Payment of U.S. Oblig."

What this translates to
In essence your tax dollars are going directly to the Federal Reserve in payment of the Bankster's interest.

The US Treasury went bust back in 1933, thats why the gold currency was called in BTW. And was replaced with the corporation "Department of Treasury".

That is WHY there are BILLIONS of dollars missing here Folks !!!!!

It goes straight to the Banksters...so they can afford their Yachts !

We are slaving Four Months a year to pay off a gargantuan U.S. Treasury debt incurred by Congress before most of us were even born !

Don't Ever Forget That.

Yup, the IRS is a private corporation operating out of Puerto Rico. If it were based on US soil and not a US controlled territory, it would be subject to US laws governing corporations and could be sued for committing fraud. I haven't the time to locate the appropriate links but anyone interested in learning more could simply Google it or do an ATS search and locate THOUSANDS of links giving the greasy details!!!

EVERYTHING about our government and our monetary system is simply smoke and mirrors. It began in 1913 and the plan was solidified in 1933. We have been their chattel ever since. It is time to wake up and take our freedom back!

Not yachts, my dear - WARS and all the cannibalism they are so fond of.
There is no such thing as a trillion dollars yacht. It's the carriers and the bugbears.
