The ron paul tea party (anti fed, anti war, anti taxes/spending, anti drug war, libertarian goodness etc) would be the only way to help america. Im not going to use the term "restore" because america was bought off a long time ago to the bankers with the creation of the federal reserve. And OP, your ideas sound horrible, I do NOT want to buy more services from the the United States Corporation, they manage money like monkeys, they are extremely inefficient, and I dont want to raise taxes to pay for it. Spending a # load of money that we dont have is not going to fix our 14 trillion dollar deficit, it going to make it worse, just like the stimulus didnt help our debt. I think we need to start by liquidating our assessments and getting rid of our military bases in every country, all we're doing right now is spending a bunch of money we dont have, we need to go in the other direction and stop spending. Sure our economy will begin to reflect its real status if we stop artificially inflating it, oh well were gonna have to live with it, we cant keep doing this irresponsible non sense.

So OP, what do you do when your in a LOT of debt, do you stop spending? Or do you keep taking out more loans? Because right now your suggesting taking out more loans and we are in more debt than we can pay for already.

Though I didn't get past the first page, you're muddling facts. Hoover was a progressive. In fact, one of the biggest progressives of all time, as was FDR. Though you incorrectly state the cost of the new deal, it was similar in size and scope to the "stimulus package", and didn't work either. In fact, unemployment going into WWII was hovering over 10 percent. This was the result of excessive government spending, which is largely inneffective and typically an expensive way to produce low-paying jobs. World War II created the great capitalization of America. Ford, GM, and major manufacturers (private sector) were pressed into service to create a massive volume of the tools of war, and the middle class was born. Capitalism by accident, you might call it.
I can only assume either you or the author are a recent graduate of the public school system, or are attempting to revise history more to your liking. Either way, you have been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize of Bogusness, and Al Gore woud be proud of you, as would Chavez and Obama. Hip Hip.
As someone who works with medium size business owners on retirement and estate tax issues for a living, I can tell you that increasing the tax burden doesn't make them hire more people. However, they do react by slashing payroll, buying fewer trucks and capital equipment, or in some cases, cutting their losses and closing the doors. You can wish it wasn't so, but that's just the way it is. And it spreads like a bad, malignant, liberal disease.
You guys really have no clue, do you. Purchase some history books, the older, the better. Less chance they've gotten the progressive mark up.
No my friend, the real problem is that when congress creates a philosophy based on justification of buying votes, these are the kinds of policies that are taught. For a case study on what you propose, study the old Soviet Union. The USSR. You'll have to use older books, because they imploded years ago. Prior to that, old women waited in line for hours for the opportunity to purchase toilet paper, electricity was iffy, and do you remember seeing their muscle cars from the 60's and 70's? Don't answer, that was rhetorical. They didn't make muscle cars, in fact, they didn't make much of anything, except AK's and ICBM's. That's because, to control the social unrest created by a socialist government, or as I like to call it, Obama administration, you need lots of weapons. This is often referred to as a "police state". Don't look that up, you'll know what it means soon enough. Obama has you right where he wants you, reading and writing socialist propaganda. In the meantime, his dog is on a private jet to Florida. In closing, I'd just like to say Obama throws like a woman, was born in Mombasa, Kenya, and lives with his mother-in-law. www.funnyordie.com...

BTW when you tax the rich over a certain point, you take food out of the mouths of poor people. Does that make you feel good about yourself?

This is the sort of disinformation the Right spews through channels like FOX and Breibart blogs.

If you tax the rich, at ANY point, you generate revenue. Period.

If the rich man wants to take that out on the poor, it is their judgment, their prerogative to live a vile, greedy life.

If the rich man sees it as a way to help the people less fortunate, they can live with a little less ( OMG, no flat screen in the bathroom!!!!), and live knowing they are following the Christian values so many are fond of saying this country was founded on.

So which do you choose?

Fat, greedy rich man, give him a tax break and they will share the flat screen in the bathroom with you?

Or tax the fat, greedy bastard, and make it easier for him to make it into Heaven?

And maybe we could even fix some bridges with the fat mans $$$$!

Why do so many espouse Christian values, then quickly turn their true colors when someone takes their precious money.

I have no sympathy for people with mucho dinero.

Sell your Escalades. Move to Canada, or Mexico. Our jobs are already oversees. Boot the bosses over there too.

Just trying to keep those Christian values intact, you know.

Actually, it took so long because the Dems were rushing around, trying to find as many Congress dweebs that they could bribe with handouts to their states. I wonder how many millions of my tax dollars went these bribes.

Welcome to politics, American style.

If you do your research correctly, you will find this is called Politics here in the States.

Both parties are guilty of extensive use of politics in their history, and I think its safe to say, for the foreseeable future(unfortunately).

In a few years, it will be the Republican dweebs, running around with bribes.

Hell, I remember when the current Republican minority whip (bohener?) from Ohio went in to Congress with checks he was passing around to pay off people. Look it up if you don't believe me.

This is just business as usual, and we can all see this if we take the time to look.
