I guess a lot of people are not so into eBay these days. And it does take a bit of work to figure out what a "good deal" is, that's true.
Feel free to U2U me if you want, ATS isn't really supposed to be commercial (even though I seem to see people selling stuff everywhere I look!).
As far as a few thousand, yeah, that's still relatively "small", but, it will allow you to get better deals on eBay (if you know who to deal with),
but maybe even go a bit beyond eBay, and still get good value. The thing is, very few people seem to know where to turn, and I will repeat, the last
thing you want to do is to put yourself at the mercy of your local coin shop. Unless you know the dealer, in which case, I might still say "Be
careful", but you wouldn't be asking if you knew someone like that I guess.
I do have to say though, you are more aware than a lot of people I think. the fact that you recognize not only that you should put something in
precious metals, but further, that it might be good to have smaller increments, that's actually way ahead of the average person. So, wherever
you're tuning into, I think you're on the right track.
