Report: Iranian Scientist Says He's Escaped US Agents

www.aolnews.com

(June 30) -- Iranian state television has broadcast a video of a man who purports to be an abducted Iranian nuclear scientist, and he now claims that he has escaped from U.S. custody.

Shahram Amiri -- an expert in radioactive isotopes at Tehran's Malek Ashtar University, which has close ties to the Revolutionary Guard -- mysteriously vanished in June 2009, just three day after arriving in Saudi Arabia for the annual Haj pilgrimage. Iran has claimed that the U.S. kidnapped Amiri with the help of the Saudis. But in March, ABC News reported that the scientist had willingly defected and was

I find this alarming. If true, then we can be assured something is about to go down with Iran that is nuclear in nature.

Now think about it, Our economy is defunct. the best way to recover is "WAR". War will generate the kind of money we need to pull us out of this economic downfall.

Perhaps this is CIA related and we are all being set up to have just cause for a nuclear showdown with Iran. maybe they let him go on purpose.

We know that we have been lied to so many times by our Government, and the truth is anyone's guess.

So what do you think? Did he in fact escape? If so what are the ramifications for us? Or did we let him go just to provoke a "War" which we NEED?

Your thoughts?

Thanks,

Pax

For the moment, I dont think we have much to worry about. Just regular propaganda from both sides. However, I will get worried if the case is inflated by the MSM.

This is the third video of the scientist, or his impersonator, to surface in as many weeks. Earlier this month Iranian TV showed footage of a man calling himself Amiri who said he'd been kidnapped, taken to America and tortured. Shortly after that footage appeared, a second video turned up on the Internet, also purporting to be from Amiri, in which he said he was studying in the United States. In Tuesday's footage, the man labeled that second Internet video "a sheer lie."

The State Department has refused to confirm whether Amiri is being held -- willingly or not -- in the U.S. But Washington has rejected claims that the person in the latest video had been detained by American agents. "It's ludicrous for anyone to suggest that this individual was kidnapped by the United States," a Washington official told Reuters on Tuesday. "If he's able to produce videos, it defies human logic to allege that he's somehow been held against his will by Americans."

Good point: where is this guy supposed to be? Why is he making videos claiming that he's just escaped instead of high-tailing it out of the country? Which videos are we supposed to believe? And why would any of this lead to war?

Good for him. Lets just hope he doesn't shoot himself in the head 4 times, strangle himself, and drown himself in the sink. Because as we stand now there are well over 120 scientists suicided since late 1980s after Herbert took office
