gheezsh---I think I would be too depressed to eat...when I get stressed out I just can't eat or drink anything but I would probably chain smoke until the end

1. A sixpack of cold Budweisers
2. Medium-rare Kobe beef steak
3. Buttery mashed potatoes with lots of meaty gravy and sauteed green beans
4. Two special brownies and a fried banana with vanilla ice cream

My last meal would take place on top of the Empire State Building right before sunrise. After the meal I would watch the sunrise while smoking my cigarettes

1. Cola (no signs of a very refined culinary taste here...sorry)
2. Macaroni Carbonara
3. Parmaham with melon, Baquette with garlic butter
4. Cheesecake

Hmmmm.
The last supper, so to speak.

Well...
I'd have to go out like the fat@$$ that I am and go for...

A 7-Eleven Double Gulp 64 oz. cup a fourth of the way filled with...a Dublin Dr. Pepper (the kind with the real sugar cane) and filled the rest of the way with a fine bottle of Crown Royal Cask No. 16.
Andddd.
A Chipotle Burrito Bol, double rice, no beans, triple chicken, double scoop of red sauce, @$$load of cheese, @$$load of sour cream and nooo veggies.
Andddd.
Two bags of Doritos First Degree Burn Jalapeno chips to then proceed to eat my burrito bol as a dip.
Andddd.
I'd totally have to dig myself to the bottom of a box of Twinkies.

Mmmm.
I know Im a total fatty, but everyones gotta have a dream meal.
Haha.

My last drink would be an ice cold blue moon with an orange slice in it. (Probably a lot of them)

Entree would be bbq ribs with Cajun shrimp.

Sides would be mac 'n' cheese with mushrooms and bacon, and a baked potato with cheese butter (for anyone that lives in Los Angeles and has been to Northwoods Inn, you know what im talking about).

Dessert would be peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

This isn't a lighthearted subject at all btw, like you told SeekerOfTruth101. It is making light of a very heavy subject. Two different things.

1. Nothing hits the spot like good ol' southern sweet tea
2. I'd like to try my hand at the Big Texan, 72 oz of beef goodness
3. Not sure I'd have any room but I'd have Fried Mushrooms and Mashed Taters from Saltgrass.
4. Black Forrest Cherry Cake...mmmmmm But it has to be made by a German, for some reason Americans can quite get it right, I've tried lot's, Germans literally take the cake on this

After that, my family and I would spend our last moments watching the beautiful Texas sky, she's been good to us and it would be an honor to live my last days on her soil, under her sky.

Cheddartoes: If you like Chipotle's I wish you could sample Freebirds, super monster is like 3 chipotle burritos. But you have a great list too.

First a shot of Crown Royal

Then maybe another.

Steak with big fat fried shrimp
Baked Potato
Nice big salad with cheese and bacon in it
Cheesecake with Cherrys
The rest of the Crown Royal (can't let the remainder go to waste)

And then gather around my family to be support for each other. Maybe begin visualizing in our minds the outcome being different than predicted. More oriented toward a positive result instead of the end of the world. I would not surrender to fear of the event but rather try to prepare for the direction we go after it ends.

A good thread.

huge hamburger w/ bacon, bluecheese, american cheese, and ketchup with a side of fries and cole slaw. And a refreshing Coca Cola to wash it all down . . .

then for desert, red velvet cake, with a cherry, fudge, brownies, and fried bacon bits. Oh yea, and sprinklers w/ the American flag...

yea, that's how I want to go.

As a long time Executive Chef and restaurant owner, I love to talk food...shocker, right? Well, I thought it would be interesting to see what the ATS community feels would be a fitting final menu before the SHTF!!!

Lets keep it simple so what would be your...

1. Last drink of choice.
2. Last entree of choice.
3. Last (2) side items of choice.
4. Last dessert of choice.

Assume that there are no restrictions upon what you could eat, meaning any food from anywhere was available to you for consumption...call it one final gift from the culinary gods before you head off to the freezer.

I will hold off on my choices, so as not to influence anyone.
Hmmmm Executive Chef here too...

1. Nice cappuccino with my dessert. (Don't drink alcohol)
2. Kobe Beef filet with black truffle demi
3. Gruyere and caramelized leek dauphinoise potato, balsamic grilled asparagus
4. Grand Mariner berries over vanilla bean ice cream.

1. Madeira "Boston Bual"
2. Steak, only the way my wife can cook it.
3. Side items would be simple steak fries, and mom's cole slaw.
4. Dessert would be a buttery pecan pie.

At first I thought, "oh great. . .another trivial, pointless thread." But then, as I continued thinking about the setting, I realized something wild. . .I just had all this last night!

This soo reminds me of the movie Signs. Remember the night the aliens attacked and they all cooked all their favorite foods and then no one could eat anything. This is what would happen to me I am sure. I agree with a previous post that I am sure I would be chain smoking til the last minute!! Probably take a double dose of closepan (sp) and watch it all. I know food would be the last thing on my mind.

Homemade pasta with Puttenesca sauce and shaved Parmesan

Lots of fresh Italian bread with tons of Butter

Perfect Mussels in Wine sauce

Fresh Berries with Creme Fraiche and a bottle of Chateau d'y Quem Sauterne

Finish with as much panic-sex as possible.
