Here we go. This thread post is going to disclose my opinion on just why TPTB really hate the Tea Party.

I know this because I have been motivated to do what many of them do. I am not a joiner and I will not vote if no one is worth voting for so I have been voting with my money since the start of the Ron Paul Revolution. I put money into Ron Paul's presidential campaign. I did not do this because the man could win. I am a realist. I know that the corporatist machine will not allow a candidate that is not part of their machine to ever be elected to the highest office. If an honest man or woman runs for President the MSM would not train a camera on them if they were on fire.

I put my hard earned money into Ron Paul's campaign and worked for 100's of hours on end because he was delivering my message to the establishment. There was no other reason needed. I voted in every online and text poll for him for the same reason. I wrote articles and painted signs. I knew he could not win but I did it anyway.

That is a kind of power the establish wishes it could harness. They have been trying for this reason to co-opt the Tea Party. They will not succeed in my opinion. The power to motivate strangers to put money into the campaign of a man or woman that has little chance of winning just to make a statement is a power beyond their understanding.

They hate this power. It is the power of liberty. It is the power of the wakened masses who loath politics as usual. They want this power but they can never truly possess it. That is why they hate it but in vain they wish to corrupt it if they can not have it under their control.

I put money into Rand Paul's campaign. I do not live in Tenn. I put money into Adam Kokesh's campaign. I do not live in New Mexico. TPTB just hate this kind of power. They have no idea how exactly to combat it. They have had a complacent and pliable electorate for so long they have no idea how to handle this. That is why they try and co-opt it or corrupt it. IF that is not working they demonize and marginalize it.

For me I will keep finding candidates from any state that follow our views and put my little change in their campaign war chest. It is the easiest way for me to invest in the future of our nation directly with my dollars.

I will of course also keep buying guns, ammo, gold, and storage foods just in case this nation comes apart before we can take it back.

TPTB ARE the tea party movement.

They are the tea party movement, they are the republicans, they are the democrats, they are the insurance companies and they are Obamacare, they are everyone you could ever vote for in an election, they are Alex Jones, Fox News, Ron Paul, MTV, Al Gore and CNN. They are Nickelodeon and BBC News.

That's why they are TPTB.

That wasn't trollish in the least. Just exressing my opinion. and In my opinion, it's all the same thing. Think about it - how much actually changes with each administraion? With each new movement of "hope and change?" It's easy manipulation, is all.

In my opinion, of course.

no disrespect to the OP but cody has
a valid point.

TPTB consists of Dems and GOP.

GOP funds the Tea Party.

Therefore the Tea Party is TPTB

Ron Paul has stated he would NOT run
on a ticket with Sarah Palin.

Perhaps you truly just don't get what the Tea Party started from. If all you know about it is what you see on TV then you are not aware of the truth and are not just trolling.

Here is a little Tea Party origin story 101 for you. Enjoy.

The Co-opted tea party (Palin Branch) is not the same as the grass roots origin Tea Party (Ron Paul Branch). The real Tea Party is made up of the kind of people that did extraordinary work during the Ron Paul campaign knowing full well that he would likely not be elected. They are not the vacuum brained Palin supporters and would never do for her what they did for Paul.

The Repubs saw the Paul hordes and were aghast. Then they thought hey perhaps we can re-brand them as republican since they are now registered as GOP. The fact is that the Tea Party will end up changing the GOP not the other way around in the end. We are not fooled by their tactics. They are just desperate to capture the fire is all. It will not work in the end.

Even if the membership in the Tea Party have to part ways and just be the Campaign for Liberty because the GOP has harmed the brand it will not go away. We are awake and aware but no doubt we are novice at this game. It is just getting so bad that we wanted to make a last stand at a peaceful revolution.

You are my hero! This is exactly the point I have been trying to put across with my Debtors Revolt movement and the Civil Revolution. It's about acting on one's PRINCIPAL - against the odds, and not following the herd. It's about one person standing up and saying, "No... I will not go along to get along. I will make a stand and do something different even if it means doing it alone."

This type of thinking and action creates REAL self respect, and at the end of the day you are truly at peace with yourself.

BRAVO!!!

I have to agree with Cody. It appears to me that the people in the Tea Party Movement are the disenfranchised die hards who don't see the real problems and issues with our government and country or the dangers facing us but simply resent that their particular mindset, or who they believe is of their mindset, is in power.

Sure, they say they do, but do most of them even realize that what they are accusing the current administration of, almost to the very wording and pharsing went on for at least 8 years prior? No. And they were the ones who argued vehemently with the people who saw it then and still see it now. They supported the very same things when it was one face in the White House.

At first when I heard of this movement, I said, wow...they finally see. But I soon realized what they're really all about. Most of them just need something to do until the next election. I'd bet my last dollar that if a Republican were to take office tomorrow, or a Republican disguised as whatever Sarah Palin is running as, they'd think they won something and the movement would die a quick death.

While this may be true, my bet still stands. I think the majority (and I have no idea how big they purport their movement to be) are only in this until the "democrats" and "socialist" are out of power. Tell me the majority of these people didn't support Bush's policies. Maybe I have it wrong, but I don't think so. I believe the Tea Party has a lot of posers in it. And by the way? I've voted for Ron Paul in the last two presidential elections, so let's not go there.

You really just are not aware of the big picture on the Tea Party. There is actually 2 separate and distinct camps. The original tea party started during the Ron Paul presidential campaign. The co-opted branch quite some time after.

We had a money bomb for Ron Paul on the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party Dec 16th 2007. It raised a historic 6 million for Paul's campaign. This is also likely the date that we caught the Repub establishment's attention and they began to plot their take over of the movement.

The problem for them is that in the end they will be left with just the vacuum brained flag waving FOX news watching crowd and not the more motivated and creative intelligentsia of the movement. The Palin branch of FOX news watchers are likely a larger crowd but the Paul branch are readers/ writers/ thinkers/ creative types. They are the real core and they will not vote for Palin or any other neocon.

Well I guess I am aware because that is exactly what I just described. I'm well aware of the money bomb. I was a very high contributor. Did you not see I said I voted for Dr. Paul twice.

Dems and GOP are not TPTB.... they are the puppets of the TPTB.

The puppet GOP does not fund the Tea Party but is using funds to co-opt the tea party. If this trend continues the tea party will be transformed or merged into the puppet GOP under puppet Palin.

The purpose of TPTB using Palin is to scare any sane individual away from the tea party except holy warrior neocons.

Ron Paul would NOT run on a ticket with Sarah Palin because Palin is one of the puppets of TPTB.

The essence of the tea party, is joe six-pack and his wife jill realizing that they weren't alone in thinking that the government has become a self-sustaining entity that by necessity feeds of the freedoms and wealth of hard working people for self preservation. Government, in it's intended form, is a framework for citizens to manage their own affairs. Instead, it has been hijacked and become a monster. It has become a tool of wealth by which people who join the team, and are thereby not on your team, use the sheild of government and power of police to absorb your wealth and by votes to ensure it's own survival, siphoning off all it can.
Tea partiers are anti-government in that sense. We want the government to be reduced to the framework it was intended to be. Strength in numbers, we will ultimately, with courage of our convictions, prevail.

That is the jist of it. I also think that seeing Ron Paul tell it like it is in the Republican primary campaign trail even though it was not popular with the establishment gave people a voice for their own frustration with the status-quot.

LMFAO!!

I read some of the comments about the Tea Party being the TPTB! If that is the case then how come Ron Paul hasn't been elected to the presidential office?

TPTB though has funded the Obama campaign and he is elected president. They turned a nobody into a somebody overnight. They don't want an honest man like Ron Paul to become president. He would hurt their agenda.

Tea parties are every-day Americans expressing outrage over the excess of government

It doesn't matter if the GOP, the Dems, or the Russian communist party is funding them.

Ultimately those people are out there in the streets because they are pissed off at the spending and bailouts.

Of course, I fully disagree that tea parties are run by the GOP establishment. Some of them might be, but by far the vast majority are not.

But even if they were, its nothing but pointless ad homs. Attacking the people for the party and not the message.
