On my left and right leg the hair on my inside thigh and inside calf areas there is no longer hair, and what individual hairs there are only appear to very small.

my partner has also noticed that i also have no hairs on my outside shoulders and tricep areas.
However the rest, such as chest, pubic, head, underarm appears to be normal.
I'm generally healthy and in reasonable shape.

Doctor is well "its one of those things, no real reason."

Following my own line of research I have looked into Alopecia areata - hairloss in patches, however these are usually circular mainly on the head. Alopecia univeralis with is rapid hair loss of the body
So these don't appear to be what is causing this.

Wondered if anyone else has experience or line of thought into this?

No idea, does it hurt? Does your skin itch?

stress can cause alopecia but usually on the head.

perhaps there's too much depleted uranium in your diet?

then again, some author claimed that the future high consciousness race that will follow the extinction of the present one will have hair solely on the head.

Body hair can decrease with age - one day its there, next day gone. You could have come in contact with a low amount of radiation, such as electrical lines, uranium vintage glass. Clothing rubbing against certain areas can rub the hair off. Thoughts to ponder!

I wouldn't worry about it to much.

By the time you are 50 you will have hair growing all over your body, including out of your nose, ears, your back, eyebrows etc.

You will look like Chewbaca in a short period of time!

As you get older where your clothes rub will over time remove your hair. Back in the 70s all of us hay bailers had bald spots on our calves from our boots and our thighs from our jeans...highly probable

Hi my father has the same problem and his doctor told him it was a result of a circulation problem in those areas of his body.
Hope this helps :-)
