Dallas store sells U.S. flag with 61 stars

DALLAS — Next weekend, when you see the red, white and blue proudly displayed for Independence Day, take a closer look.

President Eisenhower set the standard for all American flags 51 years ago. The order requires 13 stripes and 50 stars on a field of blue.

"You can kind of see the stars are all crooked, and if you count them, there's actually 61 stars," he said.

Childress counted several times. He multiplied rows and columns. He counted them one-by-one.

Every time, it added up to 61.

Well I guess this is a perfect example of the difference in American manufacturing and the manufacturing of our goods overseas.

61 Stars...

Between Obama saying we have 56 states and this flag, our children don't stand a chance.

Semper, didn't you get the memo?

Canada, Mexico, England, Israel, Germany, Japan, Australia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Jamaica and Haiti are all states now!

Ah the American empire, I am glad to see that Manifest Destiny still lives on.

Perhaps our Gov. has commissioned a new flag, including all upcoming conquests, and not for public release "yet"....then, the Dollar Tree's distributors somehow got some despite the secrecy...

But the bigger conspiracy is how very few of the items in said store are actually priced $1 !!??!?!?

It's the dollar tree, everything is probably made in China even though they are based in VA. It's getting harder and harder to buy American products that are actually American made.

Maybe they were accounting for American territories?
