Thought this was funny. Hope it hasn't already been posted...

MILWAUKEE -- Arizona Senator Jon Kyl has confirmed, Arizona is, in fact, on the border with Mexico. Kyl sent Milwaukee County Supervisor Peggy West a letter in which he says, "You will be interested to learn that Arizona does indeed share a border with Mexico. I have enclosed a map for your convenience." Kyl goes on to urge West to, "actually read the Arizona law before forming an opinion about it." Source

Um..............

This isn't a joke? That elected official didn't know Arizona borders Mexico?

Kudos to the guy who corrected the county supervisor, without rolling on the floor laughing his butt off, as he brought a big of geography knowledge to her attention.

It's not a joke. I was just telling someone that when my son told me about this story this evening, I didn't believe him. Kind of scary too to think people feel so justified in taking a hard stance on a subject they know so little about.

"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our children".
