Gainspan

www.iqt.org...

GainSpan provides the industry’s lowest power consuming Wi-Fi single chip solution for battery-powered or energy-harvesting sensor applications that can run sensor devices for up to 10 years on a single AA battery. Actively participating in the green revolution and leveraging the very large installed base of Wi-Fi access points and devices, GainSpan and its ecosystem partners reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint as well as the operation and installation costs of sensor networks for government, commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

In September of 2006 a core team of engineers and thought leaders from Intel founded GainSpan in response to the growing demand for wireless sensor networking solutions. By applying its low power chip technology to an existing widely deployed standard networking technology—Wi-Fi—GainSpan hit upon a key innovation that suddenly removed the two obstacles that had been hindering the market growth of wireless sensor networks, namely high power consumption and lack of mature standards-based solutions, and opened the floodgates of new possibilities for sensor products and applications.

GainSpan customers can leverage global Wi-Fi infrastructure and devices as well as existing tools and knowledge investments to create many new sensor-based products for security and access control, temperature and occupancy monitoring, and asset and people tracking.

GainSpan’s continuing mission is to create a broad range of semiconductor solutions that continually improve usage capabilities for new sensor applications worldwide, while leveraging ubiquitous Wi-Fi. GainSpan is located in Los Gatos, California and has an R&D office in Bangalore, India.

In-Q-Tel initially invested in GainSpain in March, 2009.

Geosemble

www.iqt.org...

Geosemble Technologies is an El Segundo, California based company led by CEO Andre Doumitt. The company provides automatic techniques for extracting and fusing geospatial data sets, including maps, aerial imagery, lists, events, databases, businesses and more. The result is a highly efficient identification, extraction, analysis and decision making process for a range of user applications, including commercial and residential real estate, city redevelopment, travel and tourism, first responders, critical infrastructure, and government and military users.

Founded in December of 2004, Geosemble Technologies is a spin-off from the University of Southern California (USC). Geosemble’s founders were faculty members in Computer Science when they developed the company’s core Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms. The resulting technology is based on proprietary AI methods, refined and extended after years of research funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the U.S. Air Force, and other U.S. Government agencies. Geosemble has numerous patents pending in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Geospatial Data Fusion, and has a partner relationship with Fetch Technologies Inc. for automatic data extraction technologies.

The essential problem that is addressed with this technology is the reduction or elimination of time needed to gather text and map data about a place, resolve the data’s relevance to that place and then make a decision based on that data. The time advantage brought by Geosemble’s automatic data integration creates a tactical advantage for government users and a competitive advantage for business users.

StreamBase

www.iqt.org...

High-performance Complex Event Processing (CEP) software platform for real-time and historical analysis of high-volume intelligence data

Traditional data management and analysis software architectures cannot keep pace with the volume and velocity of the data streaming into many of today’s intelligence systems. There’s a new paradigm, known as high-performance Complex Event Processing (CEP), that addresses the need to “sense and respond” in real-time to patterns of events that may indicate pending threats. StreamBase delivers a new approach to real-time data processing and analytics through what is known as a Stream Processing Engine.

StreamBase gives government agencies and systems integrators the ability to quickly solve real-time data processing and analytics problems that until now have been time-consuming and sometimes intractable. With StreamBase, organizations can create analytical applications to monitor streams of data in multiple formats across multiples sources. This data is processed within milliseconds of its arrival.

To process this real-time and historical data, StreamBase leverages StreamSQL, a next-generation programming language that extends the familiar SQL paradigm. In addition, StreamBase offers an inbound processing model executes queries on streaming data before it is stored, thus removing latency, and enabling processing greater than 300,000 messages/second. And, with StreamBase’s rapid application development environment, applications can be prototyped in as little as hours to days.

StreamBase was founded in June 2003, and is headquartered in Lexington, MA. In-Q-Tel initially invested in StreamBase in December 2006.

What Obama is doing here makes me think of a prediction from Nostradamus about the mark of the beast

"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666."

and this one

The great empire will be torn from limb,

The all-powerful one for more than four hundred years:

Great power given to the dark one from slaves come,

The Aryana will not be satisfied thereby.

"Did Nostradamus predict the election of Barack Obama, the first Black President in the White House?" I wrote in my article Nostradamus: the Black President and the End of the World in 2012. "Professor Eugene Randell, Deputy Director of the Smithsonian Institution Archives, declared that the Institute was holding some very rare Nostradamus manuscripts. One previously unreleased quatrain spoke about a "great empire" that would be "torn from limb" and a "great power given to the dark one from slaves come". The lines were eagerly copied and pasted on numerous blogs and websites, but all these "believers" forgot to mention (or didn't know) that the original article was published by "The Daily Squib", the World's Finest (Satirical) News Source. Professor Eugene Randell did not exist and the previously unreleased quatrain definitely was a hoax."

EdgarMetro says Nostradamus prophesized "the name of the Antichrist as Mabus". But that's rubbish too. Nostradamus has never said a Mr. Mabus will be the Antichrist. In Century 2, Quatrain 62 he states that "when Mabus will die", there will be "a horrible undoing of people and animals". But the "true believers" of EdgarMetro don't believe these facts, only their own fiction: they take the last two letters from "Obama" and the first three of "Bush" and they get "Mabus". And who will be in the White House in 2012? A Black President, dammit!

On all sort of trashy White Power sites, a bunch of creepy details are added tot this "information". What is the zipcode of Chicago? 60606! Eliminate the zero's and you get 666, the Number of the Beast! And who lives in Chicago? Yes...

Time to refresh ATSers' memory.

Biden to Justice Roberts

BIDEN: And we'll be faced with equally consequential decisions in the 21st century.

Can a microscopic tag be implanted in a person's body to track his every movement? There's actual discussion about that.

You will rule on that -- mark my words -- before your tenure is over.

Can brain scans be used to determine whether a person's inclined toward criminality or violent behavior?

You will rule on that.

And, Judge, I need to know whether you will be a justice who believes that the constitutional journey must continue to speak to these consequential decisions or that we've gone far enough in protecting against government intrusion into our autonomy into the most personal decisions we make.

Maybe Biden really knows something.

Consensual Taxation:

They often say "vote with your pocketbook". I say lets take that concept to the extreme. Imagine if on your IRS form instead of focusing on the check-boxes of 'dependents' you claim, the majority of the ordeal would be a checklist compendium of all of the various things government does, and taxes us for.

Think about that: EVERYTHING the government does and taxes us for. The form would be more like a book. In the reality of the situation, there would be so much that people would only have time to flip through trying to find things they actually support, while not checking boxes simply means you don't support it.

If we won't pay for it, they can't build things like this. Also, Electronic Direct Democracy, that follows the Rule of Law, would be relevant here.

Any thoughts?

For those who somehow believe that voting means something, when the people in charge of "counting" the votes are also the people being voted upon, well, only a huge gang of morons would think the fox guarding the henhouse somehow is good for the hens.

All they have to do is convince the hens that "chicken hawks" are after them, and the foxes are "protecting" them. I just can't believe ANYONE goes for this, but somehow just about everyone does...

That's a big part of it yeah.

As far as I'm concerned much of what we see today is about lowering our quality of life. But even if we make far less money, we can still live 'wealthy' if we know how to use our Internet. In their world, when we have to outright buy all over-priced media, we'll really be broke and limited in anything we can be exposed to.

Thought some of you may find this interesting...(hope I'm doing this right)

Dear Privacy-Minded Internet User:

The European Parliament wants to take away the right to search the
Internet in privacy.

As you know, the Startpage and Ixquick search engines have helped
millions of people protect their privacy through anonymous, certified
proxy searching. Human rights activists, whistleblowers, and regular
people all appreciate the security of knowing we never record users' IP
addresses and we don't use tracking cookies.

But unless we act now, Europeans may lose that right.

A directive known as "Written Declaration 29," adopted last week by the
European Parliament, calls for legislation that would require search
engines to make a record of all search queries.

Spying on people's searches without evidence of a crime would throw us
back to the East German Stasi era where everyone was under surveillance.
We believe privacy is a fundamental right, and we have vowed to resist
this move.

Please read and distribute our press release below. We need your help to
spread the word.

Sincerely,

Katherine Albrecht, Ed.D.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Search Engines Should Become Government Spies, Says EU Parliament
Ixquick and Startpage will fight "Big Brother" data retention clause in
Declaration 29

(Brussels / New York / Zeist June 28, 2010) A draconian proposal to
retain all Internet search traffic, known as "Written Declaration 29,"
was adopted by the European Parliament last week. Framed as a measure to
crack down on paedophiles, the controversial Declaration calls on the EU
to require that search engines store all search traffic for up to two
years for possible analysis by authorities.

Search engine Ixquick (www.ixquick.com), widely regarded as the world's
most private search engine, has built a strong privacy reputation by
storing no search data on its users. The company believes it has been
singled out by the data retention proposal, and it has vowed to strongly
oppose the measure becoming law.

"Since Google, Yahoo, and Bing already retain users' search data, this
proposal is clearly aimed at Ixquick and our English-language subsidiary
Startpage (www.startpage.com)," said Robert Beens, CEO of Ixquick. "We
have worked hard to create a privacy-friendly search engine that
embodies the spirit of EU Privacy Protections, in line with the strict
recommendations of the EU Article 29 Data Protection Working Party. This
Declaration is evidence that the left hand of the EU does not know what
the right hand is doing."

Mr. Beens fears that if the measure becomes law, it will vastly
undermine the privacy of over 500 million law-abiding EU citizens.
Storing everyone's search data, rather than restricting surveillance to
known or suspected offenders, would give the government access to a rich
trove of political, medical, professional, and personal data on
virtually every person in Europe. And critics say it will do little to
stop child pornography.

"Sex offenders exchange files through underground networks. They don't
find this stuff through search engines," said Alex Hanff of Privacy
International, an advocacy group that is launching a campaign against
the measure. "I spent eight years helping law enforcement track down
online sex offenders and never once did we see a case where search
engine data was useful."

Ixquick will join the public campaign started by Privacy International
to stop the provisions of Written Declaration 29 from becoming law.

"Privacy is a fundamental right and the basis of a free society. The
phenomenal success of Ixquick and Startpage proves that people don't
want to be watched by their governments," said Mr. Beens. "Spying on
law-abiding citizens is not the way forward, and we will stand by our
principles to protect the public's ability to search in privacy."

About Startpage and Ixquick
Startpage is the English-language version of Ixquick, an international,
award-winning search engine with an industry-leading privacy policy.
Launched in 1998, Ixquick is owned by Surfboard Holding BV, a Dutch
company. Ixquick has been awarded the EU Privacy Seal by the independent
certification authority Europrise. Further information can be found at
www.startpage.com and www.ixquick.com.

I won't integrate into this bull while there's breathe in my lungs. No way!

The timing with all of this stuff really makes you think doesn't it?

This thread:
Scary Letter From Fidel Castro In Regards To Iran War

Goes along with how you're talking about how we are going through such hard times and yet the Obama administration is worried about technology that we don't need, nor want.

And then we have stuff like this too that's going on (I just posted this thread a couple days ago which you've probably seen):
U.S. government panel now pushing "vaccinations for all"

Why are they trying to pull together this crap? The reason I posted the links within my post is because I (I don't know about you all) am seeing a link between all of it. It may be obscure but it's there.

When we do go to war, they're preparing for the worst - except they aren't telling us.

If we get implanted with microchips, which would be used for our 'passwords' and such, as well as shopping and tracking us, how would it be done? Well this is where my thread comes in... what if the forced vaccinations are a way to chip us all?

WHEN war does break out (and yes I know there is war constantly, but I'm talking global warfare here, total destruction, end of the world type stuff), they will need a system to track us. With all the underground systems they have going on, I have no doubt there is enough food/water/supplies & clean energy to go on living for a very long time. With that energy they have technology, and if we have microchips in us well they will be able to monitor us still.

Anarchy after global destruction? NOPE! They would know where we are, and be able to find out what is going on. I know I'm pulling a lot of things together here and hopefully you're following me... however if not I apologize for wasting your time if you read this.

But doesn't it make sense? To rule the world after you destroy most of it and the people living on it you will need a way to find everyone, and take control over them and put your plans into action. This all would work... not saying it will happen, just saying things may escalate and you never know.

Ahh... anyway sorry for babbling, I guess I was sort of thinking out loud...

It's all diversions on top of diversions.

The BP gusher is a massive diversion. And then individual aspects of it are. Such as, the preposterous notion that the entire Gulf is going to be evacuated. Total absurdist nonsense, designed to get people debating and out of their minds.

So then we have this thread? Is it a diversion? Is it for real? They've spent a year putting it together. Was it a plan in the filing cabinet for when they need a good diversion, or is it the Big Story? From my gatherings, they've put a lot of time into it, and have already potentially poured many millions into such as the possible In-Q-Tel connections I've posted. But it could be a diversion. It's seems unfeasible and futile, except of course when you factor in the AI programs I've outlined during this discourse.

Time will tell. If this is a strategic diversion, its a 'good' one, and what we're currently being diverted from via Identity Ecosystem + Internet Kill Switch would be a major issue.

I'm waiting for the day (and I don't think it's far off) where all computers will be fixed with a DNA scanner and my DNA will be used as my password. They're already using fingerprint scanners for password setup - it's not a huge leap in tech to use DNA samples instead.

A skin sample, hair follicle, whatever it may be. They could also use this on credit cards, drivers' licenses, and any other ID.

Then, unless it was YOU or an authorized user (with their DNA) using the device, or trying to access an account etc, it simply wouldn't work.

It's so refreshing to read a well informed, well presented, sourced & articulated thread. Fab job OP!

re: it's "voluntary"
Here's my post on the Gov IT site:

The Executive Summary says "participation in the Identity Ecosystem is voluntary", however it does not say this in the body text. The text says:

  • "Voluntary participation is another critical element of this Strategy. Engaging in online transactions should be voluntary to both organizations and individuals. The Federal Government will not require organizations to adopt specific identity solutions or to provide online services, nor require individuals to obtain high-assurance digital credentials if they do not want to engage in high-risk online transactions with the government or otherwise. The Identity Ecosystem should encompass a range of transactions from anonymous to high assurance. Thus, the Identity Ecosystem should allow an individual to select the credential he or she deems most appropriate for the transaction, provided the credential meets the risk requirements of the relying party." (emphasis added)

eg "Our strategy depends on getting people to cooperate" is not the same as "the public can opt out". It's more like, you're participating like it or not, but you can choose your level of risk. That's no more voluntary than saying "Vaccinations are voluntary - now do you want it in the arm, or would you prefer to bend over?"

  • "Privacy protection and voluntary participation are pillars of the Identity Ecosystem. The Identity Ecosystem protects anonymous parties by keeping their identity a secret and sharing only the information necessary to complete the transaction." Get it? You are not anonymous to the Ecosystem - it keeps your identity a secret - not you.

The Obama Administration is cunningly adept at legalese, if nothing else. Hard to believe that the ability to opt in or out was simply an oversight.

Incidentally, on the same site, 66% of respondents said they would not "join the identity ecosystem". No idea of the poll size.

Interesting definitions in the draft:

  • CYBERSPACE: "The interdependent network of information technology infrastructures, including the Internet, telecommunications networks, computer systems, mobile devices, and embedded processors and controllers in critical industries. Common usage of the term also refers to the virtual environment of information and interactions between people."

  • DEVICE: "A physical construct, generally electronic, that is capable of storing and processing information, e.g., a Personal Computer, web server, mobile phone, or smart card."

  • IDENTITY MEDIUM: "A device or object storing one or more credentials, claims, or attributes related to a single subject, and in the case of a device, capable of transforming these information objects for specific uses. Any credential, card, badge, USB, smart phone or other media, regardless of form factor, issued or authorized for identification purposes within online transactions."

  • VOLUNTARY: "Acting without compulsion or obligation" Anyone know the definition of "voluntary" in the tax code?

This is not just about what you buy on the internet; it is cross-governments (international), federal commercial & private, & includes your phone & email. It is to be finalized this fall. DHS is taking comments until 7/19.
Cheers!
