Hey Michele! Good to see you here! I have noticed the starfish thing too...never used to see them....also I have seen eels, fish crabs etc....BUT a little while ago I saw a few dead fish...soooooo

Hey Kat yeah I try to check the rovs out every day if I can.. agreed on the amount of starfish that I've seen the last day or so, aswell as a few crabs..

Just seen a huge fissure on OC1!

To the people who want to put videos here, I suggest you do it through youtube. Uploading to ATS and doing it that way is a headache when it comes to embedding your video into posts you are making in threads. Maybe I'm just missing something with that, but it works with youtube much easier. Just a suggestion.

Lots of dust or something coming from Ocean Intervention 1. Not sure what it is though.

Most of the feeds aren't showing anything. Half aren't working. I wouldn't doubt if all were looped.

And it has been quite cloudy on Ocean Intervention 1 for quite some time now. The cloudiness comes in spurts though...but still not clear like it usually is.

We had this discussion a few pages ago and way back in the tens of pages of this thread. If they were looped, they would have to be recorded. And to do so you would need a DVD drive, we have seen that before. However, the recordings would also include the ROV data like depth, date, time etc. Once recorded onto say a DVD, then that information cannot be removed, at least easily and without some serious CGI or something incredible like that. So if we were seeing looped feeds, then the date and time and etc would be from whenever the recording(s) were made.

I guess so, Dragon. We have seen the DVD logo and we have also seen messages on the ROV screens saying things like "RECORDING", "NOT RECORDING" and "RECORDING FAILURE" which common sense tells you that they are indeed recording ROV footage. I'm 99% sure I saw looped footage one time, but I haven't been watching as much as I was near the beginning. I know you say "well, they are on the same route" and that may be true, but exact turns, angles and landmarks including a ROV hanging on to the same rock? Nope, don't buy that it was just going on the same route again with zero variation in anything whatsoever. It would have had to double back in half the time it took it to run the route in the first place.

At any rate, I think it's safe to say they are recording footage and we've heard several people in the media claim they are looping it. I'm almost positive I saw it for myself as well. Besides, if they are looping it, you don't think this was planned ahead of time? You don't think they could get someone who could keep the time and date correct on looped footage? In this day and age, you can do anything with a computer and the crappy quality of the feeds makes it hard to see the date and time anyways let alone signs that the video has been tampered with. If this is what they are doing, it was planned well in advance. They don't want us to see what's going on down there and looping footage creates the perfect illusion that we are being shown real-time footage when we really aren't. It's even easier when they are sitting in one place for hours.

I'm not saying they are doing it, but c'mon, if they wanted to, they could and wouldn't let something silly like the date and time blow their cover.

You realize with such poor quality of a feed that an alteration like that would be noticed? Its not like they can duplicate that crapiness. The lining would never be perfect. It is just too hard to do without something not making sense...they would have to change everything including the coordinates. Hard to do that with websites showing locations of the ships in relevance to the ROVs...would take a lot of time effort money etc...

I know....I hope they all stay away....usually down here, tropical storms are no big deal....but with the oil thing it is. Keep it up with the great pics you've been getting....it really helps to SEE things, especially overnight because I work nights and don't get to watch. Did anything happen last night?

Wow....that is unusual....I am only here during the day, but usually there is a "night shift" LOL! Don't get discouraged. at least it's reassuring to know you are watching. Did they pull up all the equipment expecting a storm. and now have to put it all back?

Also, if they were doing that, you would think they would NOT be showing some of the bad stuff. like explosions, oil leaks, etc........

What happened to the yellow instrument panel Q 4000 rov 1 is looking at? It lokos like a dent in the right side. That area is pixilated, but you can see some movement in the pixels. The area below it is dark, but it seems there is movement there, also. The O and S stand for open or shut, I guess: I've seen the rovs turning the dials to Shut before.

And what is Q 4000 rov 2 looking at? There seems to be hive on it that seems to show movement-a leak?- but it too is pixilated.

Thanks for the screen shots - omg some really bad stuff happening down there. Yes I always come by several times a day - you guys are the greatest at keeping us informed. Certainly not much info coming from the media these days.
