Damn, for about 10 minutes now, only two cams showing - one that has showed blank/not recording all day, the other showing only open water at roughly 1,400 feet.

Same here and has been that way for the past 4 or 5 hours for me. I keep thinking they may be doing something they don't want us to see because of the storm - it will not be a direct hit of course but the weather news indicates there will be increased waves in the area - just a thought.

What is that light thingy on it right now? I don't know how to post it, but it's a bright light, and it looks like it is smoking, etc. Ummmm......it's not looking too good! What's up with that?

They are figuring around 12ft seas out there even though the storm is well away from them. If you have ever been in a boat when the waves start to pickup it makes for an interesting ride.

No doubt!

My thought of 12' seas to these vessels made me think of Bill Cosby's "Buck Buck" ..... "what was that, a piece of paper?" lol

Yes they can take a beating, but they probably aren't going to to risk it especially with what has happened in the last couple of months. I may be wrong, but with the whole world watching they damn sure don't want something else to happen. Can you imagine what would happen if they had another accident. Like I said I may be wrong, but that is the most sensible thing to do by moving everything closer to shore.

But then again this is BP were talking about. Being sensible is not their fortay.

I can't get any camera to work, tried various links.

Remeber somebody saying on another thread that if this happens then it could be because of a serious failure at the location.

Can anyone confirm if something serious has or has not happened ?

Hello bigyin

The live feeds on a few of the sites don't seem to be working for some reason at the moment.

The last live feed I saw was Skandi ROV2, on this site www.sanaracreations.fi...

It was "normal" as in the oil was spewing out of the BOP and with a vengence. What I believe I saw was a ROV arm holding one of the disbursment pipes into the oil clouds.

The Skandi ROV2 is working at the site I just posted above.

This one had an interesting view of the BOP, just before going black, it may be back up again. www.searchlawrence.com...

Thank you telfyr for that site

Can you imagine how it would feel......to be one of the many BP employees that are no different than you or me. The ones who just show up and do what they are told to make enough money to support their family. Id imagine they feel helpless and scared just like we do watching it unfold. Not to get strange, but the feeling I get just sitting here watching it belch oil continually into the water is sombering.
