Well the cracks MIGHT be where they have been dragging, burying, pulling and tugging on wires/ropes that are on the seafloor. So far, at least in recent days, I have not noticed any significant cracks on the floor. The grate you are referring to is just crappy pixilation of the screen because BP has changed the lighting on some of the ROVs. Why I have no idea. My PC has been fine. Never shuts down or crashes. The best browser to use is FireFox when viewing the feeds. Also stop any of the players that do not interest you or that are not playing a feed. Saves memory and bandwidth. I always thought they do something with the feeds...maybe pause them or what not. I find it odd for many feeds to work 100% fine for several hours and suddenly some will freeze for periods or shut down altogether.
The "hole" you might see on Skandi 2, is probably the shadow of the corner of the ROV. It has been mistaken for a hole several times, though people pointed out that it seems they like to sit right on top of holes and cracks. I think its more to cover up what is being seen. Yes it is on the seafloor, but I have no idea why they changed lighting to make it look more green. If I had to guess, they use it to distort things that might be there on the seafloor...at least for the public.
Yes I have seen a lot more blobs, and a few times seen massive red blobs float in front of the ROVs and they don't even flinch. I mean big enough to nearly take up the whole cam view.
The oil is not on the surface because they dispersed the hell out of it before. So not shocking. Also I have suspected for some time that a lots of it may already have entered the gulf stream. If so, then that oil will never be recovered until it hits shore somewhere. And that is a LOT of oil.
Skandi to moves from spot to spot as it surveys, probably propeller wash up. But I don't know why the sand is so brown when it happens. Again i would guess the dispersed oil theory. The seafloor is probably covered in oil and thus why they use weird lighting...but just a guess/theory.

just some questions.....
first....has anyone else noticed their computers shutting down when trying to view these feeds....it seems like my computer just decides to shut down after maybe 10 minutes or so.....kind of starting to wonder if maybe bp hasn't put a little bug into the feeds...or if these isn't one my computer....

I saw you mentioned the four camera view on Olympic Challenger - ROV 2. It looks to me as four different ROVs and not four cameras on one ROV. What do you think?
Edit: I see that the top two are in sync with each other.. maybe ROV2 and the bottom two ROV 1??? The bottom left is the same as ROV1.
