Thank goodness for twitter otherwise I might have missed this

Apparently I got:

Your recommended philosophy-guru is EPICURUS.

Key fact: Epicurus, founder of Epicureanism, is probably the most misunderstood philosopher of antiquity.

Must have: A delight in the countryside and gardens.

Key promise: Peace and tranquillity.

Key peril: Boredom.

Most likely to say: "The true hedonist can find as much pleasure in a glass of chilled water as in a feast for a king."

Least likely to say: "He who tires of the city, tires of life."

Your recommended philosophy-guru is ZENO OF CITIUM.

Most likely to say: "If you have integrity, no-one can harm you."

Uncanny !

Its like i just had an out of body experience.

Cool test! Heres mine!

Your recommended philosophy-guru is ZENO OF CITIUM.

Key fact: He taught in a stoa, the Athenian supermarket, and hence founded the school of philosophy called Stoicism.

Must have: An interest in everyday life, for it is there that you learn life's big lessons.

Key promise: An ability to face anything, no matter how disastrous.

Key peril: To be "stoical" is to turn your back on passion.

Most likely to say: "If you have integrity, no-one can harm you."

Least likely to say: "Forget prudence! It won't help you anyway."

Nice lil quiz.

Your recommended philosophy-guru is PLATO.
Key fact: The star pupil of Socrates.
Must have: A love of the biggest questions in life.
Key promise: The contemplation of eternity.
Key peril: His philosophy might be pseudo-religious nonsense.
Most likely to say: "There are more things in heaven and earth than can even be dreamt by philosophy."
Least likely to say: "Get real! Life has no meaning."

my result was this:

Your recommended philosophy-guru is ARISTOTLE.

Key fact: The star pupil of Plato.

Must have: A desire to study the world and see what it reveals.

Key promise: The good life, which comes from living a virtuous life.

Key peril: The virtuous life can be tough.

Most likely to say: "Everything has its proper place."

Least likely to say: "Science is where humanity went wrong."

its kinda funny really cos aristotle was a star pupil of Plato and Plato was the star pupil of Socrates Socrates has always been my personal favourite

I've got Zeno of Citium.

I like this quotes from this wise man:

"The goal of life is living in agreement with nature"
"We have two ears and one mouth, so we should listen more than we say".

but Bruce Lee is the one who led me to study Chinese philosophy.
which I prefer.
People who dismiss Bruce as an Actoor just don't get it.
I dealt with violent people evry night for Twenty years and Bruce's advice kept me sane and in one piece, and allowed me to be of the most benefit to the people depending on me to get it right at that time.
To fight by not fighting IS the highest art of a warrior.
