The lottery is not evolution and research. It has no cycle. It has no pattern. It has nothing to predict. So that is a straw man fallacy.
Elixir of life? Micro probes which attract free radicals + stem cells. Know why I know that? Research.
Riddle of steel? All I know is that's a video game. wtf?
10,000 years ago thee world was falling out of an ice age.
67 million years ago the world was a wasteland with lots of wind, birds, fish, and a few shrews.
Knowledge defeats ignorance. Simply put, the human form sucks. This is why we use tools to do things, not our bodies.
There have been millions upon millions of species on earth. only 1% of life forms ever on Earth are alive today. So take the vast diversity of life
today, and times it by 100. That is all the life forms of Earth.
Of those life forms, only 3 or 4 have had the human form.
Of those 3 or 4, only one has survived to what we are today.
How many intelligent animals are there alive today?
Man
Dolphins
whales
Crows
Parrots
Cuttle fish
Octopus
Squid
apes
Gorillas
so many more
How many of those are like man?
1.
Not to mention mankind is an easy species to go extinct. Not until the last 50 or so years in the whole of our 50,000 years of existence have we had
the capacity to survive disasters. And we are ever more likely to kill ourselves off, making a second species that looks and acts like us ever less
likely.
Mathematics, my dear. Probability and numbers.
It is simply unlikely for humanoid aliens to be out there when it was already a flook chance we would evolve here in the first place. It is far more
likely for other species to have evolved intelligence without the humanoid form.
Also, limitations are the progenitor of civilization and technology. So again, those species more limited will be more intelligent. Mankind is already
so limited, and we are this smart.
In the end. The immensely low almost null chance that the human form would evolve again makes it all but a joke to think aliens look like us. They are
far more likely to look like birds or dolphins.
My personal favorite is Half Life's Combine
