Allprowolfy…..

maybe, are you oblivious to your surroundings!

I find that broad sweeping comment lacks clarity. If you can be more specific to that which you allude, I will try to reply to your comment.

i for one have observed david icke-website, and yes their are items and things that are obsurd

I addition to the ”items and things that are obsurd” that you ”for one have observed david icke-website”, there are ”items and things” that "I have observed on the ”david icke-website” that are damaging to gullible people, people who he targets with his vitriolic paedophiliac, satanist & alien reptilian fantasies & the broader field of Ufology.

but for the most part if you go to his free sight his web sight

I am thinking that when you say ”his free sight his web sight” you are indicating that Icke is somehow being philanthropic.

Icke’s website demonstrates he is far from being that. In fact, if you monitor his website, you see how Icke manipulates his content to optimise the income stream he derives from his nasty fiction.

For instance, if you look at Icke’s website this morning, you can see he is now advertising new speaking venues. As part of this promotion, Icke has elevated his book sales advertising to “top of page”.

has mostly valid media outlets to back up his news clips.

The fact that a ”valid media outlet” runs a story on something is no indicator that “something” is credible.

I also note that I cannot see any validation of Icke’s fiction on any ”valid media outlets”. To the contrary…..I see only alarm & derision.

now to insinuate just because he posts one article that might be out of text

My conclusions are based on observations of Icke’s work over a long period of time. My recent alarm has been based on Icke’s increasing focus on paedophilia & Satanism, both of which he raises ONLY to make money & gain attention.

that the man is a quack

”The man is a quack”…..an extremely damaging ”quack”

well maybe and maybe not.

I’m not certain as to your position here…..

Are you equivocating regarding Icke?

Or, are you addressing me?

as for me getting out once in a while and checking your surroundings

How exactly do you propose you will be ”getting out once in a while & checking” my ”surroundings”?

such as lady GaGa's latest video

I see that at the gym…..it’s not so bad! I think that within that “Ga Ga” persona there is quite a talent. From the reading I’ve done, it appears she is highly technically trained in music. That combines very effectively with her demonstrated creativity.

or the catholic church

Whilst I am not a Catholic, I am friends with our local priest…..he is a great guy!

or since about 2000 when it seems as if most of the adults in this world just suddenly died

I’m not sure I have observed anything to that effect.

and we now have children teaching children

Again, I’m not sure I have observed anything to that effect.

thus the tattoo's

I’m not a huge “tat” fan.

rings in every orfice of the body

Well beyond an earing, I think the body piercing fad is distasteful & importantly, risky from an infection control point of view.

children out of wedlock

That has always been an awful problem.

devestation of marriages

That also has always been an awful problem.

children on prescription drugs at the age of 11

Many general practitioners prescribe pharmaceuticals incorrectly & unnecessarily, sometimes even recklessly.

mabye you need to get out side more often and check your surroundings

I travel the world regularly.

I also spend a lot of time ”out side”, as in not inside.

as mine are very interesting to say the least

You are fortunate that you enjoy ”interesting surroundings”.

lend credence to david ickes case and point

To which of your ”interesting surroundings” do you refer, when you allude to those ”surroundings” as those that ”lend credence to david ickes case and point”?

Kind regards

At a guess I would say a good 50% of the adult British population knows who he is.
Thanks largely to this:

And you question why people are speaking out about his lies...
On a side note, I don't think you play devils advocate very well.

Chadwickus.....

As I look at that video again through the prism of Icke's infidelities & indiscretions leading up to that time as per my earlier post, I guess it’s possible he was suffering from a medically significant level of stress that exhibited itself with the development of his paranoid fantasies post viewing of “V”.

I guess it’s also possible that media entities such as the BBC took advantage of that for purposes of their own ratings & subsequent advertising income.

I guess it’s also possible his level of stress was exacerbated by his requirement to deal with the ramifications of that appearance.

However, I believe Icke has long since been perfectly rational & calculating, as he escalates his paranoid fantasies to take advantage of gullible & vulnerable people.

Worse. It would be a self-appointed 'elite' and is certainly censorship. I prefer Icke to censorship.

That's the problem, isn't it.....

On the one hand.....

One desires to proactively take steps to limit the damage that can be caused by someone like Icke.

On the other hand.....

Where's that line between trying to protect whilst not becoming a prescriptive censor?

Cripmeister…..

Amazon is a privately owned company and they have a policy of not publishing offensive material. Anti-semitism is offensive. It's well within their right to pull D.Ickes material from their store if they wanted to. You could still buy the books, DVDs, t-shirts, coffee mugs etc from D.Ickes website.

It would be interesting to have a conversation with TPTB from Amazon regarding Icke.

DoomsdayRex.....

Cripmeister & you are absolutely correct.

As you may have gleaned from my work in the Medical Forum, my working life is spent as a senior person in the medical industry specialising in new, innovative technologies.

The damage caused by non-vaccination is appalling in the extreme.

I spent a number of years working clinically in 1 of the world's leading childrens hospitals.....I have seen such personal devastation first hand.

Icke's disingenuous, profit driven anti vaccination diatribe is appalling in the extreme.

You don't speak for what you believe. In a post in this thread dated 7.1.2010, you told us there was no connection between Icke and UFO research, that Icke never discusses UFOs. Yet four days before, you posted in a discussion about David Icke's new book Moon Matrix, where he claims the moon is an artificial construct built by aliens to control us. You knowingly engage in lies to defend Icke.

Another attempt at reductio ad ridiculum

Not necessarily. Being wrong does not translate to having a "screwed up life", though I would question their judgement. However, those who have completely themselves over to Mr. Icke's philosophies have made questionable decisions in their lives.

I can and I did, there is no valid bases for your claim.

You have not produced a cogent argument for why any of Icke's critics are wrong. All you have done is repeat the claim we are wrong and engaged in logical fallacy after logical fallacy.

Originally posted by Point of No Return
You first create a generalizing group that doesn't even exist, "Icke followers".

You are denying that Icke has either fans or supporters or believers? That only demonstrates your willingness to lie to defend him.

No, I know you don't. I have a thing called principles.

No you have a thing called Narcissistic Epilepsy, it's when you involuntarily argue for the sake of arguing.

High horse comes to mind too...

I see a bash/rant thread based on opinion like MMN always makes. I object to that.

Indeed you do!

If the OP refuses to answer my questions about the bases of his claims, i'm not just going to give up and walk away.

I think it's more that the OP hasn't answered a question to your satisfaction.

Two different things.

I just tell it like I see it. I don't care what people think about me.

Me too!

I do care when information is being supressed, ridiculed, silenced and demonized.

I don't like pseudo-science, lies, fear mongering and pumpkin.

This is nice isn't it? Sharing...

Let people make up their own minds.

Everyone is entitles to making their own minds, it's nice to see both sides of the coin though.

And threads like this is that other side of the coin.

Is that Ad Hominum Chad, show some restraint, bub. It's exactly this point of view I object against.

Nope, it's an observation.

People that go outside your little box are all mad in your view.

Some of them are.

That would be a stupid question, you just said I don't care.

There is no stupid questions, there is only stupid answers.

Aw Chad, you have to resort to this? Big bad superhero you.

Show all the people what I am about? Be my guest, thanks for the plug.

I did, because it is a rant about something you don't like

"WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE HERE????"

So basically, if these people don't think the same way you do, you don't trust their motives.

Oh, I'm sorry, am I screwing up your perfect world image of debunker vs believer?

Nope, dig a little deeper and you are just another believer, maybe a little more bitter than most.

Perhaps Blossom Goodchild let you down, or you're frustrated with the false hopes of the disclosure project?

I am open minded, believe in a lot of conspirqacies, but on the fence in many occasions, but I do tend to approach things from the conspiracy side simply because if I don't I would limit myself to a paved road, like you.

I'm not limited, you're massively generalising now, and know nothing of what I believe.

I know you are unable to grasp such concepts.

Better than grasping at straws eh?

There are lot's of threads were I clearly choose a side, 911 conspiracy rfor instance.

See, that wasn't so hard, we're making progress!

You should really check out this link: www.abovetopsecret.com... It's a ATS discussion of absolute proven child sex scandal which took place in the White House. It may help you reevaluate why you think Icke is so full of crap with the alien mumbojumbo (I think he's trying to muddy real facts). Look at the link seriously... a man was convicted!!!!!

Regarding Icke.....

It's not that I dispute paedophilia exists.....

It's that I believe Icke simply uses it to sell his books by extending reality into nasty, overstated fantasies about satanism, reptilian shape shifting aliens, etc...

He's working for the people that perpetrate that sick stuff and making money off it all the while. He's actually protecting those people by making the mainstream unaware masses think that someone who believes there's a child sex scandal involving some important people= alien shape-shifting believing nut-job . That's the problem... at least we can both agree-- David Icke:
