She says "TILT" not " Killed" as that's what the piece is about. Let's keep our heads. There's enough actual bad stuff happening without misleading people cause you didn't hear properly. It's easy to get caught up in the hysteria of this nightmare but we have to to try to be calm as we inform and arm ourselves with the appropriate factual information. Otherwise we'll just be seen as ridiculous. And we sure as heck aint that!

This woman is a true Hero to speak up. Where are the rest of the people? They can't buy everyone's silence.

Someone mentioned "a fulfillment of prophecy." Prophecy is a self-fulfillment of fear. If more of us stand up without fear, such prophecies can be tamed.

The price for unbridled consumerism is what has now come due. Until we ALL demand the release of clean energy production, we may have to see more like this disaster.

Buy no more products from BP = run them out of our waters. Let them eat their oil.

Well, if nothing else, this woman is an eyewitness to one thing that most people have refused to believe for too long: that our govt. and the whole lot of them are working in cahoots. How much more evidence do people need to see that their belief that the govt. can't pull off conspiracies of this magnitude because it requires too many people to be involved for it to be successful is invalid? As shown here our govt. IS involved, they ARE pulling it off, and there IS a lot of people involved.

So, this likely being one of the greatest ecological tragedies of our time, is there any reason to believe the events of lesser magnitude can't be conspiracies, too?

It's Working...

This video is going mainstream! Let's keep helping her spread her message for everyone's sake.

Wife of Gulf Fisherman

Over the months-long — and counting — course of the BP oil spill, a Louisiana fisherman's wife has become a fixture in the debate over the spill, advocating on behalf of the many who have made their living from the Gulf waters. In an interview with CNN earlier this month that went viral, Kindra Arnesen described herself as merely an "uneducated housewife" — but, as she explained, she found herself unable to sit on the sidelines and remain silent as the spill and its fallout have worsened.

Many on here have called for a spread the word offensive to get this video viral...

And she's still talking. In a recent speech — the video of which has also gone viral on the Web — Arnesen describes what she's seen and heard in her travels around the region. She says that in the early days of the spill, BP granted her access to areas that are now off-limits to most people. It was here, she says, that she learned what "ponies and balloons" are.

Bold added.

Deny Ignorance.

I just showed this to my mother and posted it on my facebook. Thanks for posting OP, it really saddens me to see how terribly this situation is being handled, but hopefully it will inspire a change amongst those affected. As she said, that's our only real hope..

I see a bigger hole in this video than the one that BP is trying to plug.

No mention is made of the role that public demand for cheap oil and gas plays in leading companies like BP into dangerous waters like these, in the first place.

Not to single out anyone who came here to point their finger at a devil they may think they already know well enough, but if anyone would like to meet a devil they may not know very well yet, I would recommend watching the video found on the following web page:

Excellent find and share!!! Maybe this disaster will be the tipping point to demand what was started over 30 years ago but was stopped after 1980...a strong energy policy including conservation and renewable energy.

We can no longer put up with corporate control over Americans and their government...it's literally killing us and making us sick. Not just in the gulf states but in states to their north. See Gasland

This woman and this group, because they are not affiliated with govt or astroturf corporate groups, will be labeled with corporate PR buzzwords like communists, socialists, nazis, hitlers, liberals, terrorists, collective action, unpatriotic, antiAmerican, atheists, etc. They will be subjects of PR spin. They will be "debunked".

They will be told that the oil spill is their fault, because they demand oil. BP was just the supplier, like a drug dealer. They will not be viewed as the victims of a decades long government/corporate energy policy that was disinterested in alternative/renewable/conservation, and a free market system that shoved oil and oil based products down their throat.

They are victims of govt legislation that favored the corporation over the citizen, victims of govt agencies that at one time offered protection but became protectors of corporate interest.

This video speaks truth to power. God bless this woman and her group. "There's a moment when they believe we want it more, stronger and longer than they want to keep it from us. That's the moment we win." C Chavez

Very heartfelt words and actions from this gutsy lady. Think there might be a movie deal here like the Erin Brokovich film about contaminated waste in New Jersey.
But Iwon't be surprised if she suddenly becomes quiet, as most international conglomerates pay off protestors with offers they cannot refuse.
Hopefully not and surely there will be hundreds of foot soldiers to take her place so BP never get away with it?

Exactly, kalenga!
And we will need 1,000 Erin Brockovichs to undo what has been done and demand justice for victims.

the point she makes about the regs on fishing and why it has become so difficult to provide food and work is like what they've been doing to farmers for years. Organics are next. And what about industry in general?
They want this country to fail so we can beg for a global solution.

I got the impression that she was referring to the regs put on the "small people", while corporations get to avoid any regs (by writing their own or by lack of oversight), if there even are any for them.

Here is a link to some high quality pictures of pensacola.
There some pictures of using ultra violet lights at night to spot the oil, and photos of how the oil is layering beneath the sand.

This may not be as such addressed in the video.. The lady was just giving her testimony on what the witnessed.

But it is on the web site that is the reason for her speaking.
www.gulfemergencysummit.org...

They want oil drilling stopped and alternative energies used.

Of course people want cheap gas and oil. You don't? I suppose you are Mr. Money Bags and can spend 10 dollars a gallon for gas? This is only natural for people to want cheap things.

I don't care how large demand for cheap oil is, that is no excuse to cut corners that endanger peoples lives. No one forced BP to cut any corners. Greed did that. BP did not NEED to drill in the deep waters.. they WANTED to because of the cash cow it promised.

You do know that a pez dispenser has an empty head made of plastic don't you?

I wont win any friends for saying this.

She makes some valid points, of course. But she seems very emotional, and as such, quite unaware of WHY things are the way they are. For example, she complains about BP being in charge, but BP is in charge because that is the legal precedent in a case like this. The ONLY other agency with any jurisdiction is the Coast Guard. There is no magical "Government" agency tasked with dealing with this sort of situation. Why si that? Well, for one, because so many people seem quite scared of the "Government" organizations.

Also, she refers to BP's "Lack of humanity" with such shock. Why? Is she REALLY that naive to believe that the multi-millionares and billionares at BP give two #s about anything other than the bottom line? you think the majority of the shareholders care? She's a business woman, i'm sure she understand the profit motive, even if only on a smaller scale. I doubt her 'fisherman daddy' made sure he put back as much as he took out of the ocean, right? Basically any business that turns a profit is exploiting something. It's how our nation got rich. BP is just doing it on a larger scale. Sure, they screwed her out of her livlihood, but was she a strong anti-drilling advocate before the spill? Or was she too busy making money to notice spills like this happening ALL AROUND THE WORLD?

Just saying. All that emotion doesnt add up to much in the end. Just some stories re-iterating how we all feel. Big surprise, our collective greed and lazyness has consequences. Shocking.

Been thinking re my comments about a revolution in an earlier post -
With the exception of a very few, ALL corporations are part of an unjust and unsustainable system. And while they figure 'Environmental Damage' into their project plans (known as 'Exteranalities') theirs is always going to be the narrow view that environmental damage is acceptable as long as the profits outweigh any damage compensation that may be incurred.
So, until they pay back to society the value of the privilige to exploit our valuable natural resourses, their activities will never come under close public scrutiny and thus TRUE democracy simply cannot prevail.

Complaint aboout post:

this post contains stolen content
the person who posted this may not be aware that the you tube channel they embedded it from had stolen it from me.

I would like the embedded video on this thread replaced with the orginal file from my channel

I am a YouTube partner and that means this theft has cost me a sizable chunk of change. It costs money to go out into the world and come back with these stories. If you would like to Download a video to make sure it doesn't disappear that's one thing but to reupload it when it has Not disappeared is Stealing traffic from the producer of the video. In this case that's me and yes, I'm very pissed.
