Its definately past 6:00 more like 6:30 or 7:00 and I'll go with the 4:00 but ..please look up at your clocks...if you own one with hands...and tell me if my 90 gegrees statement as compared to your 6:00 and 4:00 is not far off...from 90 gedrees of rotation...more like 75-80 degrees but thats a lot on something cyclindrical...

so we can say the nut I'm seeing in the 1st pic and the blob are close to beiing the same orientation 6:00 and 4:00 so if it rotates couter clockwise..as it did....would the 4:00 position still be visible....it "the blob"would now in reality be the 2:00 position which I can't see in either pic...

yes I agree you win.....I'm also looking at this taking into consideration the angle the pic was taken from in .."altitude or depth" if you will...its decieving IMO...I'm not going to debate.....you win...


ETA I was also counting the nuts to the left side...in one pic there is only two visible and in the other there are 4 ...so there is definatly some diff...in the rotation between pics

Hi guys,

I have been around ATS for a while but dont think I have ever actually posted anything. I was watching the Oceaneering III Rov 2 tonight and managed to grab some screen shots of some decent cracks in the sea floor which they were checking out. There were also some 'indentations' in the ground, kind of like a car tyre would make on land (without the tread pattern of course) which they seemed to be going up and down. If anyone wants to see them let me know how to upload them and I will.

Edit: Managed to upload them to my pictures section if you can work out how to get there...

This is an easy one.....BP has a methanol mixture (antifreeze) flowing into the tophat so ice hydrates don't clog it.

You couldn't be more incorrect. Discovery News did an underwater magma flow and it talks about all the misconceptions that even scientist have about the ocean floor, what forms it and the like. Oh and yes there is some black clouds but there are white ones too and magma flowing, spitting up like fire and the like.

That is exactly what i see when looking at the pictures it looks like a volcano erupting through a pipe.

I wonder what else is going on deep in that well that we can not see.

Did you watch the link you posted? If you did, you would see that within seconds, the lava cools to black and is replaced by new lava that oozes out of the cracks. It does not retain its color for hours like the substance in the screenshots did.

It is what I see, too. And I just read a whole blog somewhere that tries to explain this whole thing as a planned and controlled event. They purposely drilled into the SIDE of an asphalt volcano.

I'm sure it's posted on ATS and you've all read it. And in a couple of months they will stop it and make it look like their relief wells fixed it.
All in the name of culling the gulf coast population with the chemicals they are mixing in? Interesting theory.

Believe me I would like nothing better but it just isn't so

Yesterday, I heard many times on the MSM that BP didn't know how long it was going to take for the repair, and that they were NOT going to get the top-hat reinstalled until sometime today or tomorrow. Interesting how fast they got things up and running again....obscuring any further analysis of the wellhead in the process.

Given the information we were able to gather yesterday, why the sudden change in color and the addition of the substance on the pipe? My suspicions are that the top-hat is actually impeding the flow of the oil out of the pipe - acting as something of a muffler and generating backpressure in the process. Once the muffler was removed, backpressure was eliminated and the flow was unchecked. I also suspect that the wellbore is damaged below grade and as such, the outflow includes sand, rocks and other abrasives in addition to oil and gas. With the increase in flow, the friction generated by the abrasives is what caused the sudden heat rise and change in appearance of the steel.

This may be another reason that they put the cap back on in such quick fashion. The heat being generated was getting to the point that whatever gasses are coming out could have ignited just from contact with the pipe.

You know, for a long time since this whole deal started I have been looking at that spill and it does look like a lava, I in my mind I wonder if indeed the earthquakes in the area including the big one in Haiti was made possible for some shifting of plates that have made a fusion of magma and oil.

And then the drilling got into the pocket, be by mistake or like you say it was planned, but darn at the cost of 11 lives and an entire ecosystem disaster? the ones that will go into the history books as the worst since modern human history?

I don't get it.

But if a volcano has been unlash this not going to stop with two more wells like is been planned.

The pressure most be incredible.

Lo and behold this is worst that we all think and the consequences incredible.

Actually we may damage the conveyor belt that feed the oceans and keep temperatures, this belt have a very delicate balance in nature.

I don't get it, I will love to know what the experts on ocean currents, seismologist and environmental experts have to say

No wonder the deep sea drilling was so dangerous.

Have we damaged our earth natural enviroment beyond repair presipitating a new toxic ice age?

For it to be lava, wouldn't BP have had to drilled into a volcano in the first place?

While I believe that BP is greedy to the point of immorality (like every other oil company), surely they are not dumb enough to attempt to drill through a volcano to get to an oil deposit.

And obviously you didn't watch the entire thing, just enough to wish to prove your point. Please go back and look again, that thing is continuous. Also Discovery and Science Channel do stories on the Hawaiian Islands and how they are still forming from a 'vent' which is building up the island over a very long period of time. And in this video it tells you how long and wide the Samoa underwater volcano is.
I did watch it from beginning to end, including the fire shooting up in the water.
Edit: oh and I understand that some of it is doing what you are saying (turning black and crusting) but not ALL of it. That is a generalization. Pleaseeeeee look again. To others: This is of a different location on the Earth, not the gulf. Thanks!

I don't know about that. The poverty among gulf coast residents is pretty bad. If TPTB wanted to eradicate poverty, that would be one population that they'd be willing to wipe out.
