Might be the one I saw on TV.
Used his iPod camera or some device and went to 100,000 feet
they said the balloon popped and the GPS gave him position to
claim his iPod and para-shoot back.
Probable attached a memo who to call.

this guy did for relatively pennies what gummint types spend thousands for.
this guy's a freaking genius and I totally hail and respect him.

this is an example of what individuals can do with his own intellect, resources and ambition, regardless of connections, education, etc.

125,000 feet is not exactly outer space. It's about 38 miles shy of what is generally accepted as the edge of the atmosphere. Not half way there.

Nice pictures, for the right price.

Probably more computer power in those camera's and GPS's than Apollo, no?

What's next?

Definitely not quite to outer space but it does leave me with a strong desire to buy cheap balloon and some throwaway camera equipment!

Wow this is truly amazing, the shots and video was spectacular. I really wish as a species we would spend more money on things like this instead of wars, paying an athlete $20m a year to play ball, etc.
