That's what I'm talking about. The people who insist on pulling the race card.

I don't know if you have read this, but it is very interesting concerning the "Jewish" slave trade. Someone is going to call me "anti-semitic", but facts arre facts.

I think the roots of slavery are pretty evident. A form of empowerment, and a means to divide and conquer the masses.

While that may be true, that really has nothing to do with the America as we know it today, what I mean by that is America was not really founded by Chris Columbus so even though I do find it interesting it is kind of irrelevant to what the op was talking about. (Place vs Country etc)

Please ignore my post.

Sorry, I'm afraid I was going a bit off topic.

Read 'White Gold' and never be guilt tripped again!

It is the true story of the white slave trade and how a million white people have been sold in slavery in the last one thousand years by'dark skinned' slavers.

An interesting and equalising read.

My country was the place where the first international corporations began.

The VOC or The United East-Indian Company and later the WIC or United West-Indian company.

The Golden age ( the 17th century ) is said to be an age of prosperity for my people.

My school taught me they imported spices and stuff... They taught us about the wealth we had because of these "businesses".

I know now that these wealth did not included the citizens of my country. They were only farmers and poverty was more normal then it was exceptional.
They were victim of tirany, murder and even genocide. All during the golden age.

I know now these companies made the Dutch important and rich. But... only those already in power.
They earned their money in the drug trade. (Opium.) Which was lost to the English later.
You probably all know about the Opium wars ?
The English were ruled by a Dutch monarch ( who was French/German by the way )and if you take a look back, almost all European royalty is related to each other. They married amongst them selves for a reason not known to us. Some say it is because of preserving a genetic advantage.I keep reading more about that...
The drug trade for my country went on to the second world war. Where we were deprived from our sources by the Japanese.

We even were in war after the second WW in Indonesia. Or the Dutch-Indies back then.
I was taught the decision was made to give the power to rule back to the native inhabitants of all the worlds colonies after WW2. What the hell did we do there in a war !?

Slavery was the next best thing of profit. The WIC gained a fortune relocating African people to America.
Apartheid is a word everybody knows right ? It is a Dutch word.

Yes I know South Africa was an English colony. Before that it was Dutch for so long that if they or me speak slowly we can understand each other.

Our world is lead by the same people for centuries. Wars millions of us got killed in were fought to settle their differences. Our meddling in the past are responsible for the Islamic view on the west.
All of our nations are and have been able to pay all the wars because of the loans from banks. Banks that are, coincidentally ??, still owned by the same families and their leasons that owned them centuries ago.

Slaves were a common trade because of them.
We are still confronted with it by them.

Do you know any German that feels personally responsible for the 2 th WW ?
Why should we feel responsible for the crimes our ancestors commited >

Why are there still people that do think we should feel responsible.
We didn't do it. Our parents or grandparents realized we are all people.

Why don't we treat each other as such ? As equal.
Yet... it keeps dividing us. It still enrages some, and it still causes people to suffer.

Think about it...
The people do not start wars. Governments do. Who controls governments ?
Who profit from it ? Who benefits from our dividing ?

If we all start to cooperate we would not be blinded by hate for each other.
We would see, who pull the strings and we would make their power fade away, leaving them powerless.

Think about it...? Try not to hate, try not to fall for their tricks, Try to follow the bread crumbs. The trail will lead to only a few who have always been the ones that benefit any war, any dividing.

Think about it. How can invading a country bring peace. How can war bring peace.

Why are we all still tripped over slavery ?
You will find the answer when you learn to let go of your hate and patriotism and nationalism.

In the end they will all bring suffering...

Don't blame yourself. Every single one of us... is only human.

Thanks for the tip Intrepid, if anyone calls me out on the slavery issue I will claim my parents came from Canada!

It's funny you posted this thread as I was talking to a friend about this very issue last night. The whole PC thing is so sickening, you can't even take pride in your ancestors if they from the south.

As Thisguyrighthere said it makes a useful tool to keep us fighting each other instead of watching what the government is doing to us. Sharecropping indeed!
Where's my 40 acres and a mule anyway?

I was recently told by a Jamaican. "When the British came here with the slavery and other Atrocities"

My response to that was. Where you alive when slavery was being done.

his response. Of course not.

"The why should you feel bad about it. I am descended from polish Jews, should i still be pissed at the Germans???

he didn't say much after that.

As a "white" man I would encourage every other white man or woman. to NOT feel guilty, as the chances of your family line being directly involved in the owning or transportation of slaves to the Americas are very slim, and any modern "black" person that tries to tarnish anyone with that brush just because they are white without other evidence. As DOES happen. should be treated with the indignation as any racist.

I can pretty much tell for sure that any black man on Jamaica has his roots in Africa.
So that guy got it all figured out.

Because God forbid we actually started getting along with each other.

God forbid that we realize that Human Beings are not in a Human Race and there are no winners or losers, that we cross our own finishing lines in our own time.
