Yeah, where I am in Toronto it had that bouncy, long flatbed carrying construction tower weights sort of rhythm.

In the house it felt sort of like one of those Tesla resonators that is reputed to be able to take down buildings with the right resonant frequency. It felt like the frequency was being dialed in. That's when I started to move!

I live in Hamilton Ont, and didn't feel a thing. Though a friend of mine msn'd me asking if I felt the tremor and she is only a few blocks from me. I am in a high-rise maybe that's why I did not notice anything.

Interesting bit of trivia to go along with this thread... Canadas largest historical earthquake also hit 44 years ago today. 06-23-1946.

Aye that would be why, they have cement counterweights on the top of thing's like skyscrapers, thing's like that, they are constantly shifting.

I definitely noticed it here in Hyde Park Vermont! I thought it was my dog on the bed but she's down stairs, so I figured it was the washing machine unbalanced, but it's not on. I dismissed it, then noticed earth quake threads popping up! Crazy! I have felt very few very small earth quakes here in Vermont over the last 25 years, maybe only 3 or four. Awesome.

I wonder if they felt it in the Petawawa area. I'll have to call my sisters later and see what's up. That area does see its share of quakes but that is a good size one for that area.

There are also 2 nuclear plants in Deep River, Chalk River. And they're old ones too so we don't need any quakes further North.
