That's right. Wearing a watch that millions of people, worldwide, own is enough to get you thrown in Guantanamo and held indefinitely, without trial.
This seems like they're grasping at at straws, like owning a Casio is the closer on a terrorist case. Some of these people have been released, some of them remain locked up. You'd better watch what you do while you're wearing your Casio.

any reason will do, so why focus on the stuff they use to fill in the blanks.

at one point they will no longer pretend, the question is whether one should even expect a public reaction that late in the game, isn't it?
