ALL polititions , in my opinion are crooked to some extent,
Follow the money. The amount of corporate money influencing politicians AND VOTERS has never been greater.
It may be that voting comes down to who has accepted less corporate money or is less influenced by business money.
If people don't vote because of the ideas that "it doesn't make a difference" or "they're all corrupt", then the corporations have done a
complete takedown. It's as if the voter has tapped out.
Think of this, as disagreeable as it is to some, if Cheney had not been in his powerful position, would we be in the energy mess we are today? The
dominant architects of the war in Iraq were from one political party.

... we start trying to classify people, then we move on to judging them.
Our greatest fault.
Judging what is in a person's heart is wrong, but judging actions that affect how we survive is a way for the species to survive. Actions that harm
the least of us are wrong. Making rules and then not following them but expecting others to follow are wrong. Judging is not the species greatest
fault; unwise judgment is.
When govt officials hold closed door energy (or other corporate) meetings, the outcomes of which have harmful, grave effects on the "small people",
it is NOT wrong for the voter to judge. If a Texan votes because he or she wants to re-criminalize sodomy, yet is harmed further down the road by the
other actions of that politician/party, what good has it done?
Would a voter in Louisiana now trade his/her vote on gay marriage for a vote on better energy/environmental regulation/oversight?
The world is a hugely much more complex place than it was 30 years ago. Americans need to vote on what truly matters for their survival. Sodomy and
gay marriage are not such matters.
The "small people" are in a fight against harmful corporate control over their lives. We have to make our opponent tap out.
