Time for a nuke to blow an american city to "convince" more people to go at war.

From where I'm standing I don't see any evidence that the two current wars have improved either the world or cleaned up the streets of America.

What makes you think that a war with Iran would be any different?

A sign of a state of denial is that one keeps doing the same thing, expecting a different outcome just, like a gambler does in a casino.

People need hope, even if WW3 is their only hope left.

Yeah they are hoping for WW3. What a disturbed society we live in...

There already is war. The world never stops warring.

People are dumb enough to willingly choose 'soldier' as their occupation... there's always going to be war.

When the people who are "dumb enough to willingly choose 'soldier' as their occupation" stop doing what they do; the government will have a draft or implement a mandatory service requirement for citizenship.

It's funny how Americans expect the most out of their country but don't feel like they need to do anything in return.

sorry about that, your not American.

Wow, kudos to u. You've posted one of the most assinine statements I've ever read. If what u say is true then u are a hateful, hateful person and should be, but probably are not ashamed of yourself.
You can speak for yourself all you'd like but You shouldnt assume how others feel or what they do concerning ANY war unless you personally know them. It's YOU who does nothing, nothing besides fuel the fires of hate.
I'm actually on the verge of tears, yeah, I'm that sensitive, I've that much compassion for others who do nothing to deserve the evilness thats been/will be visited upon them. I feel you are one of the reasons that hold Us back from reaching Our full potential as humans. The one thing that I hold hope in is that with every generation that goes by We are becoming more tolerant, more accepting and more loving than the previous. Ppl who think as you do will eventually be bred out of society and then we can work on the real reason we're here. That reason is LOVE and to embrace one another despite our differences. Love will always win out over hate. It may take us awhile but well get there and those who think the way u do will be a distant memory in Our existence.
Before You assume noone has stake in anyone in the ME. I have dear friends and family who've been unlucky enough to have been born and are unfortunate enough to not be able to leave. You have no idea what 'my fat ass' has done regarding this/every other war. Just because it's you who sits on YOUR fat ass and does nothing dont project that onto others who do care.
I'm trying to seperate you as a person from Your statement and finding it almost impossible. Gggrrr, I've allowed you to bug the $h!1 out of me and that bothers me as much as your post....blech...cruddy, crappy feeling.

Another four U.S. warships will be making their way to the region to join the Strike Group. The Americans have also conducted joint air and naval strike practices with France and the U.K. under the command of American forces, while Germany is sending warships to the area, also under the command of American forces.

Both Israel and the U.S. have positioned nuclear-armed submarines in the region. Israel has conducted multiple tests on its missile defense systems to protect its citizens once war breaks out. U.S. and Israeli Special Forces have been deployed inside Iran to investigate potential

Our ships arrived on the 18th. Russia witheld the new missle defense system from Iran. So the Iranian's are stuck with the comprehensive TOR 1 MDS, which easily countered by a llow level attack. So with Russia witholding a MDS that could be every bit as effective as the Israeli MDS, I think that is telling. The 60 superhornets are conducting bombing frills at Nevatim Base-28.

There is a problem with strikes from Israel. They obviously aren't going to be allowed to use Turkish airspace anymore. Now Turkey allowed the Israeli's to fly jets through their airspace to the Republic of Georgia which is close to Iran's Northern Border. If they can't pipe anymore bombers through Turkish airspace to Georgia then the Israeli's gotta fly a 4500 mile route each way. Which isn't effective.

But if Russia is witholding the state of the art missle defense system, that ought to tell you something.

I think Israel will be using turkish airspace for bombing runs, if it's illegal then that will make Turkey very interesting in this potential conflict.

But I agree with the commentary even if it was a little bit behind. When it came out wshington and Israel were already quite public about the excercises.

Beirut warns Israel against ship attack

As a Lebanese aid convoy is preparing to set sail for the Gaza Strip, Beirut says Tel Aviv would be held accountable for any attack against the vessel.

In a letter to the United Nations on Tuesday, Lebanon's Foreign Ministry said "Israel will be held fully responsible for any attack on Lebanon," AFP reported.

Lebanon "cannot prohibit a ship from leaving its ports if its cargo, passengers and destination all comply with Lebanese law."

The letter came after the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations sent a letter to the UN, threatening that it would use "all necessary means" to stop the Gaza-bound aid convoy.

The U.S. should have left Iraq alone. If Saddam was still in power I doubt they would be trying to build nuclear weapons right now, and if they were Saddam would have probably gone to war with them again. They hated each other. The U.S should have left iraq alone, so them and Iran could have stayed rivals instead of letting them become allies .

Hello just thought I'd add that a member of the British MOD was on BBC news yesterday talking about the possibility of troop cuts and reducing numbers in Afghanistan. He then added that they need to free up their military as 'certain regions become more dangerous' he then went on to specifically say 'such as the situation with Iran.' I am paraphrasing here but I will try and find the video. Was on the usual BBC news loop they run during the day.

How do they solve such problem? With a good old fashioned draft. Let's hope nothing like this occurs it still seems pretty far fetched to me.

From my memory, every time the US has built up an array of diverse military forces into one area - there was war. But right now, we don't know where the ships are going. If all those ships (what 16 now?) gather in the Persian Gulf along with the Nuclear Subs and the already present carrier (and who knows what else), I think it's a safe bet that there will be war.

I think the US ships will confront the Iranian "Aid" Flotilla. That could also become a volatile situation. If the US tries to inspect the Iranian ships then the ball(war) is in Iran's court. How will they respond?

Then we have the possibility of Lebanon sending aid ships to Gaza. Any mishap will have Hezbollah launching rockets. Syria will be blamed for supplying Hezbollah... domino effect in the whole region - WWIII.

I hate war. I hate the thought of every single unnecessary death - that includes enemy soldiers. The reason I care is because I know God cares.

War is a choice. Everything is a choice. The peaceful make peaceful choices. The violent make violent choices... against the peaceful. Hence, WAR.

Choose Peace

Peace

of course there will be war

That is the only way Barack can dig himself out of the mess he has gotten him-self into. Just think of all the people he can blame for what is about to happen. It's not his fault, I know, it must be Hillary's fault, or Joe's fault.

I know I'm not the best speller in the world. But It's not my fault.

Are you still glad you voted for Barack Petrolium Obama?

(what is it good for?)

It depends who you ask.

In the minds of the psychopathic leaders of the Military Industrial Complex, war is their life. It makes them rich, powerful and probably entertains them.

These people need to be removed from their responsibilities.

LOL! NOT!

You do realize that BAD PEOPLE exist, don't you?

I say, "KILL THEM ALL ....and let God sort it out!"

It's great to play the game of "what if" what if the rest of the world disarms them self etc etc. The fact of the matter is other people don't think the same as you. As long as any one person on this planet uses violence to gain their way, war will exist.

Since the dawn of man we have fought over disputes, and that won't stop till everyone from all sides learns to get along.

Seconded

You are both out to lunch.
The fact that no professional armies existed would not stop the fighting because there will always be somebody, somewhere willing to take what belongs to another be it material possessions or personal freedom. Without a professional army willing to stand in defense for those that cannot, than you would have anarchy and a lot more death and slavery.

Your utopia cannot exist.

Doesn't congress have to approve military action against Iran first? I'm pretty sure this hasn't happened so we can't just attack Iran out of nowhere. Or am I completely ignorant here?
