Regardless of what you think about Planned Parenthood or abortion, this is yet another example of the sheer inability of the government to manage our
tax dollars.
The incompetence of the federal government is astounding. Franklin Raines loots $100m out of FreddyMac while the organization goes broke, $billions of
TARP money unaccounted for, every defense project with massive overruns, hundres of $billions in Medicaid and Medicare fraud, it goes on.
It does not matter who is in office. It does not matter what the area of the government is. It is incompetence.
The only solution is to massively reduce the areas in society in which the government is involved. That will not stop the problem, but at least it
will reduce the areas of waste.
We voted for transparency during this election. We vote for transparency in every election. We have no transparency. It does not matter what the
form of governance over spending is put in place, congressional oversight, commission, third party oversight. None of it works.
This is not rocket science. Why is it that the largest and most complex public firms can account for spending. Why is it that the government mandate
under penalty of law that firms account for all material transactions under Sarbanes/Oxley section 404 yet be unable to do so themselves. Clearly
accurate accounting from the government is far more important than accurate accounting from, say IBM or Microsoft, yet we can not get it.
Time to stop the nonsense and get the government out of most of the areas of our society they are currently involved in.
All that can happen is a reduction of the scope of the problem and it has to happen.
