If the sci-fi film, Independence Day, was governmentally contrived in order "to make a new enemy," it apparently didn't work, which leads me to
believe that that whole idea is bogus in the first place.
Regarding the space-aliens in question, yes, there are some accounts of people being healed during their encounters. Problem is, the vast majority of
encounters are on the negative end of the spectrum.
