What in the hell gives a small handful of individuals the right to decided what is right for the rest of the human beings on this earth? They are no different or better than us when it comes down to the simple fact that we are all human beings. Now, do not tell me, "Oh, but we voted these individuals in to guide and lead us." No, we in fact did not. This system was in place far before any of us were born. We were conditioned to believe that the system is the only way of life. We have been taught in school that they way things are is the way things HAVE to be in order to maintain order and to keep the world running. That is just utter crap. There are a group of individuals that decide every aspect of your life, and the thing that worries me is that people are O.K. with that.

They have taken away from us everything that it means to be human. Let me take you back to the time of tribal natives here in this land before the Europeans arrived and committed genocide on a mass scale in order to obtain what was not rightfully theirs. When those natives were hungry, they would go and hunt something. If they needed clothing, they skinned a buffalo and made covering with the furs and hide. If they needed shelter, they cut down trees. If they wanted to learn a skill, they would become an apprentice of an elder or master.

Nowadays in this bar-less prison, if you need clothes, you must BUY them (unless you really do make your own, which is highly improbable). If you need food, you must BUY it (unless you grow your own, which is very uncommon). If you need shelter, you must pay rent, mortgage. If you want education or to learn a skill, you must PAY for it. Now what do you use to buy all of the above mentioned? MONEY. Their money. The money that you have been told has worth. Without this money, you cannot eat, have clothing. See my point? Now the folks down here in the lower classes do not have very much of this money because it is all up there, with them.

There are more of us than there are of them. And to be quite frank, I am sick of them. We all sit here and read and post and complain and read some more and complain some more and nothing ever happens. We are all still victims of this system. We all know things are not right. We have all read at least ONE story of a corrupt government official embezzling money from the tax payers. There hundreds, if not thousands of stories like that out there, and possibly thousands more that have not been brought to light of the public. I for one am sick of being broke and working my ass off just so the guys upstairs and keep going to the bank.

We all know about 9/11 and how things certainly do not add up about it. We all know that it is blood for oil in the middle east. So my question to you guys is, why the hell are we not getting physical? We all know that peaceful protest DOES NOT WORK. Holding up signs and marching around chanting what is on our minds has done NOTHING!! And want to know something? It NEVER will. If all of this took place lets say in medieval Europe, the government would have been overthrown after the smallest slip up.

Government for the people by the people my ass. That has never been true.
And now, they are silently taking away all of our liberty to fight these supposed terrorists. This country is not the same place as it was 10 years ago.
Something needs to change and soon. Now I am not talking about Obama change, because the government has been running the same way for decades, it won't change. I am talking about a change in attitude and motivation among the public. We need to get physical. It is the only way to get their attention and let them know that we are serious.
Attending town hall meetings and writing your congressman will not do a damn thing.
I am not some red neck, or member of a militia. I am an educated citizen watching my country deteriorate right before my eyes due to the fact that a handful of egotistical arrogant scum place the value of money above human life.

I do not care if I am pegged a home-grown terrorist or Al-Qaeda or what ever FOX or CNN wants to call me because of this post. I am sick of biting my tongue and holding back.

So NSA FBI CIA or what ever, if you can read this, come kill me. I would rather die by your sword than live under it.

If that were to happen, it would mean I did something right.

I agree that the world is certainly messed up. For me it all changed on 9/11. From the moment I heard about it, I just had the feeling something was up.

However I wouldnt be promoting violence, As that would make us no better than "them". the people who lead that revolution would probly be no better than the current leaders have now. But I would also say that holding signs doesnt really help much either.

We have to go a step beyond this and think up new ideas of CIVIL disobediance.
And the next best thing you could do- inform other people, help them wake up.

Create small PDF's or presentations, burn them to disks, give them a catchy title on the cd, and leave them lying around in public places.

The way I see it, this is an obstacle, or a choice that we will all have to deal with eventually. It is a task given to us, to drive us to become better beings.

To many people are still relatively comfortable for their to be a large enough mass resistance. Until there is enough pain nothing will happen. If you go off half cocked without power to make a difference what good will that do?

You made some remarks about not being a redneck or militia member. Well you reflect the general attitude they ingrained into you via the media that you must be some low intelligent redneck or militia member if you voice opposition to what is happening. Did you ever stop to think that is part of the problem? That attitude has kept Americans divided and powerless for fear of being labeled as such.

But now something has changed for you and you are tired of the BS enough that you don't care so you speak out. Well there are millions more with that media induced attitude and much more so then you and until something changes for them like it has for you they will continue to buy the BS and fear being labeled as such if they complain about thier government oppressing them.

Your not alone people are restless and waking up, I am just not sure if it is too little to late. I have been awake for 25 years and I can tell you just ten years ago voicing those concerns got you labeled a complete nut case. You still hear it even here now and then. But at least more people are willing to listen now where as they wouldn't give you the time of day 5 or 10 years ago.

So choose wisely the hill you decide to die on and don't just be the next extremist nut case on the 10 o'clock news. I don't know when the tipping point will be but five years ago I never dreamed there would even be a tipping point because people were so ignorant of what has been going on for decades.

Get prepared to be as self sufficient as possible it might turn out to be best to just ride out the storm when TSHTF as society implodes and be around to rebuild rather then dyeing on your front porch on supposed principle. But only each of us can make that decision when the time comes. Until then try to enjoy family and friends and loved ones while you can as you never know if you will be able to again.

I think most people don't really get it. Although I see a glimmer of hope. I am wondering when people will finally stop arguing over how to run the government, or who did what.

You know what is important! Life is important. Food is important. Medical Treatment is important. Housing is important. Now some say you must earn these things. I say bull crap. There is no reasons we couldn't fire 2/3 the government and build every family a home, get rid of all entitlements and pay farmers to mass produce basic stock foods that all could enjoy. All of this could be done. But the system we have now could never do this. The people in charge could never do this. They want profits, and they want us trying to live check to check so that we come back for more, and be silent when our jobs are threatened. Control the masses is the name of the game.

What gets me about this system, is how money makes money and hard work makes almost nothing. Take building for instance... The people that do the most hard work of actually putting that building up, make almost nothing. But, the foreman that just stands there, does nothing and 'supervises' makes as much as ten of the builders, if not more. It's despicable, I don't know what other word to use in this case.

The thing is, people want to be controlled. There will always be someone who takes the stand and takes the lead, and others like to follow. People like to have a leader. It's seems it has just been programmed into us.

Well, things are bad but a look at history shows they've usually been worse.

The whole hierarchy thing seems to have gotten out of control around the time of the dawn of agriculture, maybe 10,000 years ago or so, give or take. Before agriculture, people were mostly hunter-gatherers, living in extended families/packs of 20 people or so, wandering the land. When looking at the skeletons of early agriculturalists, it is apparent that they were generally smaller, more unhealthy, more bent-backed, and died earlier than the nomads.

The rational conclusion is that people didn't adopt agriculture of their own free will -- they were forced into it by a small group of elites, who kept hunting/mobility privilages for themselves while forcing everyone else to shuck corn or weed rice patches or whatever all day, in tiny villages that were really labor prison camps.

The "payoff" to settling down was "quantity over quality." The new, more complex settlements could support bigger populations. In a sense, all of human history has been an extention of this idea.

There is a lot to be said for complexity and civilization -- I've got one word for you: DENTISTS. It was all fun n' games back in the old days until somebody needed a dentist. But we also have something in us that yearns atavistically for the ancient, less heirarcical ways. Our challenge as a species is to provide the comfort and relative luxury we have come to expect with the dignity and lack of oppression that is truly known today only to a tiny group of elites, when it should be the birthright of all humanity. Someday, fingers crossed, we'll get it right -- if we don't blow up or poison each other first that is.

There are differences in human beings; their actions make them different; When they make the decision to kill a living being, then make the decision to take it, put it in their mouth. and then eat their flesh, then use that energy to say that "The bible says that humans are superior to other living creatures and we can do whatever we want", is horror/terror. Those vegetarians/vegans that try to actually help the planet do not know what they are doing by just taking a part of the plant to survive and let the whole plant live and survive instead of taking the WHOLE life of the entity. It is called sharing, not taking the whole while others have nothing. Though there are those who deserve it and those who do not deserve it. Some do not know of sacrifice, some do. Some humans do not know of what they do. They think they are smart because the bible tells them to procreate and "the new covenant"(they forget GENESIS, the covenant that says to be caretakers of Planet (Plant) Earth, vegetarian method if you are smart enough to know the Knowledge of Good (Good Causation/Causality) after the flood that we can "eat the fruit (corrupted by humans to mean "flesh", plenty of souls now act as if it were truth/deception by false preachers who also eat flesh) (temptation by the wrong path/horror/terror/"the fall")

All th above are excellent posts. I too, agree with much of what you say ... the people who run this earth are to my way of thinking, corrupt individuals who seek out those like themselves, which gives them power; and then they lie through their back teeth to us. It's the same the world over. Wars are created to intimidate and slaughter innocent people and for greed. Keep the population under control so 'they', the ptb's, can live in the lap of luxury. Don't hate the world .... it's still a beautiful as well as our only place. Advocating violence won't do anyone any good. If everyone refused to vote at an election, and we all stop buying stuff we don't need, (that only fuels capitalism) and try to be as self sufficient as possible (it can be done by everyone to some degree), that must surely have some impact. Spread the word but don't resort to violence, that would be stooping to the level of the ptb's.

Is it really the governments that upset you or is it the fear behind your thoughts concerning the governments?

I was riding a commuter train one time and there were two guys who got into a fight over a seat on that train. Sure, it was pretty crowded, and I guess that one guy did kind of swipe that guy's seat when he got up to grab a section of the paper, but still, I couldn't see the battle over a seat that either guy was going to have to surrender to the train itself once they'd reached their destination.

I realized that it had more to do with the need to compete over that seat than the desire for that seat itself, and that the real achievement was the defeat of the other competitor, with the seat standing in for whatever it was that either of the two would never be able to accomplish in the larger arena of his own life.

In the end, both guys were escorted from the car, and likely charged, and someone else won the seat by default. Even so, it was only another twenty minutes or so that my part of the ride lasted, and while I may have ridden inside that specific car again, I wouldn't be able to pick that particular seat out from among the dozens that are still there and bolted to the floor. Even while those guys were fighting each other over it, I wasn't able to distinguish it from any of the others, nor could I see the issue with standing for the relatively brief period of time it took to get home.

I guess I see the desire to own the world in the same way. No point in fighting for something that you can't ever really keep.

that says it all in a nutshell ..... We fight over what we perceive to be ours even when it isn't. Makes one wonder is there anything worth fighting for? Personally, I can't be bothered.

Recently, I went to a jumble sale and there were a few items I thought I'd buy. As I was picking these things up, someone reached over in front of me and just took them from my hands. I just let it go ... not worth fighting over .. hope she's happy.
