First hurricane of the 2010 season doesn't pose a threat to the Gulf of Mexico. It is still early in the season and it is only going to get worse. It doesn't look like this hurricane will even make landfall. Hopefully there will be more hurricanes like this and none or very few in the GOM. The reports that the BOP is tipping at the oil spill site means that the BOP doesn't stand a very good chance of surviving a hurricane if the water is affected at those depths

20 feet below the surfice you would never know there was a storm .
the ships on the surfice on the other hand will have to relise all cables hoses pipes and lines

20 ft below surface you wouldn't know there was a storm eh?....

Ever been out on the ocean in 40-60 ft swells? 200ft is the boundary from surface evironment to ocean environment.
