What has God done lately? Nothing good to report yet, but he sure did a STELLAR job in creating a world where the majority of humans will suffer IMMENSELY in THIS life, and then spend an ETERNITY being TORMENTED in "Hell" in the afterlife!!

No wonder he needed to "REST" on the 7th day. All his work involving ALL that absolute SUFFERING now, later, and forever must have took a LOT out of him!!

But remember, he really, really loves us though!! Yep, yep. Sure does.

YEP!

If you don't want to believe it, that's your privilege.
Why do you care so badly that other people are believing it? How does that hurt you?

Because they are atheists. They are just as bad as funides when it comes to there beliefs...or 'non-belief'.

That's ok if what I said made you laugh. Some people sit around laughing all day.
I'm not about to engage you in any tit fr tat argueing, You say I'm wrong
not to expect anything from God prove it.
I think you've seen to many Ali Baba movies with Magic lamps, three
wishes and magic carpet rides. See son you are so mixed up you think
God is suppose to serve us.
Thanks for the tip on reading to but, I'm way ahead of ya.

Wylekat

I said it before in a thread: The world is fixed. I just wish I knew who is stacking the cards and doing the fixing.

Hope you're well.
We most definetly agree on that! I was wondering if, for you, it is
imparative that-this who, whom we both agree is out there. Well, would this deck stacker, have to exist on this plain? In the same realm as us.
If so considering this, do you believe he has only recently come on the scene? Just n time to stack the deck against you and I? Since I agree with you.
Or maybe you see what I see. I see evidence of a deck stacker who has been here throughout history. There is someone stacking the deck and
with respect to you Kat, I have to expect you to see that, when I consider anyone with your amount of intellect.
Damn it, your sharp as tack kat. I'm sure you can't think, I'm some kind of, "I'll kiss ur harry but cheek" kind of zealot for saying so either.
I'm positive you have seen enough of my posts not directed at you
and even some that were, to know I don't go around handing out lollipops.
I believe you are also intelligent enough to know that intelligence can
and does for so many, render common sense utterly useless.
Respectfully

OK, Christ died for my sins, correct? Then why must I ask again and again for forgiveness?

Christ only died for the sins of those who accept the atoning work that he accomplished. We have to each call out to him and ask for the forgiveness that is available in order to have our sin forgiven. Otherwise, there is no forgiveness because we're trying to go a different way that God has provided.

Christ's work is sufficient enough to save every human being who has and will live, but it only saves those who ask for salvation.

If he dies to take away all my sins, hundreds of years before I was born, aren't they all taken care of

Yes, all the sins of those who come to salvation are taken care of. Salvation can't be lost. But like I said before, one has to actually ask for the gift of salvation, it's not just given to us.

And further, he was not, and is not, a God, he was and is a man, and he is buried in France, along with his wife and lover.

Oh yeah?

Show me Bible scripture where he said he was God incarnate.

John 1.1:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1.14:

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

This would imply that God created us and watches everything we do, and interacts with us on a personal level, thus negating Free Will altogether. Now which is it: Do we have Free Will, or are we all Slaves to a God we cannot see?

God's interacting with us doesn't negate free will. A parent's interaction with their kids doesn't prevent the kid from doing what he wants.

We have free will and God still interacts with humanity.

I cannot stand it when something happens and people stand around and say, "it was God's will." If everything were God's will, we would have a Utopian world.

Not everything is God's will. It's not God's will for people to be murdered, for example. But, God can, and will, use anything and everything that happens in the world to ultimately accomplish his will.

OK, I see now, the only way I can get into the Christian Heaven is if your made up god Jesus makes it so.

Made-up? No reputable historian disputes that Jesus existed. But, yes, Christian teaching is that Christ is the only way to heaven.

Heaven will eventually pass away? Well, so much for the claim that heaven is a state of eternal bliss or eternal communion with God. Heaven may last a really, really long time, but according to Jesus, it is temporary like the Earth is temporary.

Have you ever actually read the last chapters of Revelation, where, you know, the eternal state is described some?

Personally i think planet earth is hell, the literal hell, and this planet is what people on earth has called the devil.

Thats my view, if you think otherwise thats your choice.

I respect your opinion but regardless of where hell is located, why does there need to be a hell in the first place? Why all of this evil, suffering, and insanity before all the christians get to live in heaven forever without evil and pain? Why does evil, suffering, and hell need to exist? The bible shows that god is going to choose when he wants to end it. The bible has people believing that there's a god that basically had a temper tantrum after two people made a mistake, and that all of humanity afterwards must be punished for it. The whole idea of being forgiven for faults that we were made with makes no sense either. People believe that a god created two people who he knew weren't perfect, since he created them and is all knowing. Once they made a mistake, god punished them and all of humanity. But then later on god sends down his son to be beaten and nailed to a cross to die for the imperfections god created us with so that we can be forgiven for the imperfections God created us with.

I know how people can believe this crap. It's because of our ego and fear. People don't like to be wrong. People are afraid of death. People like thinking they're special. People are afraid to be alone. The bible is full of what humans want. Every religion is.

I think one reason why people want there to be a god is because it gives them comfort in thinking that they have some control over life and death. I also think a god is seen as a parent figure and that people instinctively want that even in adulthood. Some more than others.

Right now I'm starting to accept the fact that I am poor of money. I have nothing in the bank and I am looking at it in a positive side. I do pray that I receive my money this week. Although, it will only go towards gas and bills. I am very poor and I accept it with everything. I have a 10 year old car that has a few miles. I have no home. I live with my parents. still... 25 here. I am happy that I am doing great in college. I only have a few more years left until I get my AD. Which feels like forever. I am alive and trying to love life, but after living in the same house for 25 years it is difficult to find sanity sometimes trapped within this white washed home. My refridge is full. God has given me everything that I need. I am slightly overweight. I am loving it with my PS3 and free laptop. I am happy with my seasons of Dragonball z and transformers cartoons. I can't complain. I have a bed that I dislike, but I have a bed. Right now I am trying to let go of being accepted through people eyes. That is diffidcult for me anyways.

He threw me up in the air real high and I'm on my way down. This is a blast. I feel like I'm flying. I'm sure He will catch me before I hit the ground. We've done this before and He always catches me.

This is a blast... do it again, do it again.

Peace

We have free will and God still interacts with humanity.

There is no proof of a god interacting with humanity, there is equal evidence of fairies and leprechauns aliens and flying tea pots interacting with humanity as there is a god.

If the current available evidence did in fact prove a god interacted with humanity how exactly would you know it was your god ?

If you have free will then this would imply your god is unaware of something which would negate omniscience.

What has God done for me lately?

Lets talk about the last 3 years. God has taken away from me the addictions of smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol. God has taken away from me the want to get high. I was a pot head for many years before I came to know Christ.

God has turned my character from a thief and a liar and a lover of perversion to an honest man who tries his hardest to set a good example for his children. God has taken away the want to watch pornography. God has taken away the oblivious ignorance of my foul language.

God has made me a better man. God has opened my eyes to be a respectful and loving contributer to society. God has taught me how to love others and how to forgive them even when they might not deserve forgiveness. God has shown me what true love is and now I have a wonderful wife that He brought into my life and we share the love of God between each other and our children. We have a marriage free of fighting and bickering because we respect each other as children of God and we know that we belong to Him first before we belong to each other.

God brought my 10 year old son back into my life and I now have full custody of him. I had made some horrible mistakes but God heard my praying and saw my tears and one fateful day I received a phone call that erased all that pain and my son was brought home! Thank you Jesus!

God answers my prayers every time I call on Him. The answer might not always be yes but I have matured enough to know that His will is what will be accomplished in my life and that He knows better than I do. Having this frame of mind towards life is in no way an easy way out but rather it is quite the opposite. I have surrendered my free will into His hands and I trust Him with everything that I have and with all I am. Do you think that is an easy thing to do? You should try it.

More than anything that God has done in the last three years the most important thing that He has ever done was sending His Son Jesus to die on the cross and take away my sins. How much more can anyone ask?

In my pursuit to be like Christ I have become a better husband, a better father and an all around better man. What has God done for me?

Only everything.

God bless.

It is quite frivolous to fight again God. One thing I have notice throughout time is how everything connects within the bible as a complete story. Every book never really ends. It would seem that all the bible does is add on. Today modern prophets can be seen through Edgar Cayce and even Nostrodomus. Time and time again has shown how all prophecies are working together.

Who would have thunk it that Israel would come back?

According to the xtian bibles everything is gods will.

it's clear in the Bible that everything that happens is not God's will. Example: it was not God's will for the Fall to occur, yet it did. What the Bible does say is that God is capable of using what happens due to our free will to fulfill his purposes. This is because God is sovereign.

If your god is the creator of everything then there is nothing that can not be his will.

Being creator God doesn't in and of itself mean that everything that happens is that God's will; especially when God gave his creation a free will, as the free will enables the creation to go against the will of the creator.

this thread was created just for me to get ya's a message! how cool. it's supernatural , actually.
you were made to last for eternity....and so you will, get that thought going in your mind. you are body, soul and one more thing: spirit. that's the supernatural part of you. hear this truth, ,your soul is part of your body, it's your mind. but, there's that third part that is majical. (just what you want, something special to react with) inside you your spirit wants truth for eternity. that's tha words in the Bible here on earth.(basic instructions before leaving earth)
here's the good part...s up...anytime you need help, whether it be for life or death or boring lonliness or alien beings in your presence, call on Jesus(Yahushua) as his mum called him. pronounced almost like Joshua. debate is whether they had a "j" sound or not!
now you are invincible. it's like if you talk to God, he will talk back, and you can be doggone sure that you will have sudden peace upon you in a chaos moment. practical, huh?

I remember when I was a child I had heard about mother's intuition and thought it was something magical and awesome. I remember when I was upset one day I asked in my head for my mom to help me because I thought she'd be able to. I got that same feeling you're talking about because I believed she could help me. It's a comforting feeling but it was all in my head. It's the same thing as praying to a god. We want someone to be able to help us at anytime. Just because you want something to be true doesn't make it true.
