US May Microwave Afghan Targets

microwave weapons have been around for a while methinks. Rumored to have been used in deserted storm II, they can be used in almost a small scale EMP. these warheads are thought to be able to disable C3I bunkers by riding the wires used to communicate with the surface.

also low powered systems are already deployed in non lethal applications

The latter has already deployed in Afganistan and the latter would not be a huge deal against the low tech Taliban
