I am glad I left LA last year. So many people, terrible roads, real estate triples TX prices, food and energy prices keep rising, and there is a bottled water tax! Buy a 24-pack of bottle water the tax is over a dollar on that alone.

I think the state of Cali could increase their revenue if they stated taxing movies more! Five million dollar tax for a national movie, and a ten million dollar tax for an international movie. More money for the state, and less crappy movies for us.

Montana,Wyoming,North and South Dakota.

I know it isn't everyone in the state to blame, but you can't support that many non tax paying illegals and think you'll pull out without a scratch. I'm going to sound crazy, but with something this bad, there really is only one sure fire way. Just don't pay. I'm sorry, but sometimes extremes are needed. And simply say "nah bro" to debt is the only way to work. Hell, they should just not pay what they need to to the federal government and just flat out keep it.

Imagine that? What if California starts a trend of simply not paying the government, and keeping taxes for themselves.

It is really important that all good people stick together and support one another. We are going to need each other like never before.

This is why I support the legalization of cannabis. If regulated and taxed, it has the potential to generate billions in tax revenue, create jobs, and could even help siphon income away from the Mexican drug cartels, as more and more cannabis would be grown domestically.

Every rational argument I have ever heard against the legalization of cannabis is also equally applicable to cigarettes and alcohol in my opinion, and they are both legal, regulated, and taxed despite some serious and life threatening health effects. Why? Because they create tax revenue, and because adults are expected/trusted to take responsibility for their own wellbeing. There is no good reason - in my personal opinion - why the same approach cannot be taken in the case of cannabis.

Hopefully in November we will pass that measure.

Maybe Cailf should seek aid from Mexico. Many of their "problems" are being blamed on illegal aliens anyhow. So, why not seek aid from Mexico. Maybe they could seek to become a part of Mexico.

Regardless, whatever Cailf decides to do to survive, not one cent should be given them from the broken treasury of the US or other states. Calif's mess is and sould remain their own to deal with.
