Yes, I'm a tad early.
( i wanted to be the first...selfish me
)

Just wanted to congratulate all the awesome Dad's out there. I'm getting ready to have my first Father's Day, as I had a daughter last year. I couldn't be happier with what I have been blessed with.

She truly makes me a better person (and makes me worry FAR TOO MUCH!!!)

Just wanted to say, all the best to the proud parents out there. Our children are our future...yet we mold what there future is.

Let's make it the best we can!!! Amidst all the chaos....they make life worthwhile.

CONGRATS DADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!

My child arrived just the other day;
Came to the world in the usually way
But there were planes to catch and bills to pay.
He learned to walk while I was away.
He was talkin' 'fore I knew it.
And as he grew he said,
"I'm gonna be like you, Dad.
You know I'm gonna be like you."

Chorus :
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
"When you comin' home ?"
"Son, I don't know when.
We'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then."

Well, my son turned ten just the other day.
He said , "Thanks for the ball, Dad. Come on, let's play.
Could you teach me to throw ?" I said, "Not today.
I got a lot to do." He said, "That's okay."
And he walked away and he smiled and he said,
"You know,
I'm gonna be like him, yeah.
You know I'm gonna be like him."

Chorus

Well, he came from college just the other day,
So much like a man I just had to say,
"I'm proud of you. Could you sit for a while ?"
He shook his head and he said with a smile,
"What I'd really like, Dad, is to borrow the car keys.
See you later. Can I have them please ?"

Chorus :
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man on the moon.
"When you comin home, Son ?"
"I don't know when.
We'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then."

I've long since retired, my son's moved away.
I called him up just the other day.
"I'd like to see you, if you dont mind."
He said, "I'd love to, Dad, if I could find the time.
You see my new job's a hassle and the kids have the flu,
But it's sure nice talkin' to you, Dad.
It's been sure nice talkin' to you."

And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me,
He'd grown up just like me.
My boy was just like me.
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)

Back at ya!!!

I celebrated Fathers Day a bit early, my daughters were eager to give me their present and card early lol.

I've been divorced 6 years now, but have my kids half the time, totaly split down the middle and it's great. So for 4 days a week, i'm mum and dad to them, dealing with lifes trials and tribulations, the smiles and the tears, and as they are 11 and 12...the school heartbreaks too.

We have the best times and i wouldn't have it any other way. They keep me young and i apppreciate them as much as they appreciate me. (Even though i'm no longer cool enough to hold their hands in front of their mates).

So to all the dads out there, have a great Fathers Day.

CX.

Happy Father's Day David!

When it comes to children, there comes great love but also great fear.
