And so, in my opinion/fear, it begins.

This combined with the White House plans to file a lawsuit against Arizona for the illegal immigration bill makes the nation perfectly ripe for absolute polarization in my opinion.

On one hand we have those who will side with the White House's opposition to Arizona's illegal immigration bill, thus politically and ideologically forcing those who oppose it closer to the White House and the party which presently controls it. This will have the added effect, I fear, of making those who support the bill and who feel that the federal government has not done enough to secure out borders, view those who oppose the bill as defending or supporting that lack or border security.

On the other hand we have those who support the bill (and its intended successor which will deny birth certificates to children born on U.S. soil to illegal immigrants,) and who view the federal government (and the first group mentioned above) as caring more about the illegal immigrants' wellbeing than about America or American border security.

And now at least one side of that polarization is armed.

Personally, I oppose the Arizona legislation and its intended successor. However I am by no means an Obama supporter (or a supporter of his administration.) Soon that won't matter anymore though, I fear. In my opinion we will be forced into two polarized groups whether we like it or not, dragged, kicking and screaming, into one respective box or the other. And we will all beat each other's throats.

I pray I'm wrong, and I will not take part in the ensuing clash should it occur.

You are right, if they legalized marijuana, most of this would end as the cartels and gangs would be defunded. I could see keeping other drugs illegal as coke and meth make people crazy.

Also legitimate immigration reform. What I'd do is allow people who want to come to work go to the American Consulate in their area in Mexico, get a counterfeit proof smart ID that has identifiers as fingerprint and DNA, then let them come and go across the border.

Before people disagree, think about this. If we did that, then no one would have business crossing the border illegally.

TPTB would not go for this, as then the Mexican workers would be granted minimum wage, OSHA protections and all other labor law protections.

A couple of years ago, I struck a conversation with a landscaper who told me he only wanted to come here during the summer to work, send money home, and go home in the winter to be with his family. He did not want to be an American citizen as he was a proud Mexican.

What to do about the 12 million illegals here now? I don't know. With my idea, have them go back to their home town to apply for the ID. Either that or admit since the government encouraged them to come due to lax border enforcement, and pay-offs from business wanting, let's admit it, slave labor, let them get the ID here.

Many on ATS whined when the Israeli's boarded a Turkish vessel carrying "peace" activists and said those activists had the right to repel those invaders. Yet, when this same logic is applied to the border of a sovereign nation in defense of said nation from foreign invaders, you want to throw in the towel?

Maybe the IDF needs to be stationed along the border, since we can't seem to get the job done.

Nope, don't think I did.

Perhaps I implied that these Nazis who are not empowered to take the law into their own hands would be commiting murder?

Let me look over that whole "murder" thing again. Yep indeed I was correct, it would be murder.

Believe it or not there are men and women who are empowered to handle this situation within the confines of the law.

I'd like to take this time to refer to :
The United States Constitution
2nd Amendment-
“ A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. ”

I think this speaks for itself.

I actually support the legalization of marijuana, it was a complete smear campaign full of lies and false support (the American Medical Asst was against outlawing marijuana and Harry Alsinger lied claiming they supported him).

However, I feel any person found here illegally should be blacklisted from ever obtaining a legal green card or work visa. They shouldn't of broke the law and crossed our boarder illegally if they wish to stay here legally. It's as simple as that. Mexico isn't America's problem and their citizens are not our responsibility.

look on the bright side, If the feds actually do go down there, then at least
we will have some troops manning the border. I mean they have to BE THERE
to stop the citizens militia.

Maybe another citizens militia can bring up the rear and pen them in. Make our government secure the border whether the PTB likes it or not

I have to agree with your view on this. Talkers talk and doers do. These guys are talking so they are trying to grab some headlines and will put on a show for the cameras. This is a joke or worse it is the feds using their assets in the NSP to make it look like you have to be a nazi racist to care about border crossings by illegals.

This is not a good thing for anyone. It is at best bull crop bravado and at worst a cointelpro op to marginalize critics of the administrations poor border protection efforts as racists.

Well, well, well. I see Pres. Obama has finally surrendered in the War on Drugs. He would rather use our military to guard poppy fields in Afghanistan than guard US citizens from an OPEN DOOR to terrorists.

The drug smugglers are not the problem. The problem is that there is a corridor of US territory that Obama is allowing to go unprotected! There is no gate on that border crossing!

As far as drugs go, if you can't control your addictions, you're a wussy. Parents - don't expect the government to do your job. Our own CIA are drug smugglers! Legalize the crap and solve this problem!

That area is a wide open door to terrorists and Pres. Obama knows it - unless he's a friggin dumba$$.

BTW - Clinton and the Bushs are just as much to blame.

I have been thinking about buying some land in Cochise County just for a little hunting lodge. PM me if you know any sweet deals on distressed properties down that way. Size can be small and it does not even have to have water on it for what I want to use it for. The South face of a hill with a good view would be perfect so long as I have clear access to and from it in all directions.

I smell BRAVO SIERRA strong here! Feds are pissed about him getting "in the way"! Not sure about the deal with his wife. Maybe life was getting too hot and he had to leave.

When these commie SOB's at SLC are involved, you know lies are at the heart of it.

I must of missed the part about these guys being "well regulated", in fact they would seem to have no regulation at all. I must be confusing "vigilantes" and "Well regulated Militia" again.

My bad.

Seriously? Did I miss something here or? When did they (the Nazi's) ever say they were going to "use human beings for target practice just to make a political point"? Is this you just being jaded by the fact that "lowly Nazi scum" are doing what every American should be doing?

I'm not American though I've been raised in the U.S. I'm not living in the U.S. and I'm most certainly not a Nazi. However it seems that people can't stop harking on the fact that these folks are "National Socialists" (aka Nazi's).

I could care less who goes down there and steps up to the plate and does what the feds refuse to do. Be they Nazi's, Zionists or the Black Panthers.

Hmm... Maybe we could get them all down there and see what happens? One of two things I'm sure. 1.) They kill each other off. 2.) They come out new people, holding hands in unison!

Of course I'm just kidding about all that. I have American family down in Texas (and other places), they tell me horror stories deluxe about some of the crap going on. I'm just happy someone is doing something. (Although I'd be tons happier if it were the feds...)

Flame on!
