A lot of people don't realize how important it is for a nation to stay out of debt.

This is a prime example. The government just doesn't have the money to keep the nation's borders secure.

Chaos ensues.

Agreed. Except that when we send troops they are not allowed to arrest, speak to illegals, touch illegals, they are not allowed to do anything except stand there and be a "visual deterrent" .. It was the same ploy issued under Bush, send troops to the border to make everyone happy, but don't let them do anything .. the result was absolutely nothing. The hidden masters want an open border, and theres nothing we can do about it.

Sure there's something you can do about it. Quit crying, buck up, and get over it like a big boy. Hope that helps.

When you leave it up to the people, the wrong people often show up to do the job.

So do we wait for the feds to decide it's time? We've been waiting for decades.

These people have the right to defend our borders as stated in the United States Constitution and are simply exercising that right.

I guess if we didn't want them doing it, somebody else should have stepped up to the plate.

The US needs to protect it's borders from invaders just like every other country on the planet does, including mexico.

I'd like to see land mines and big signs mentioning said land mines.

Big signs so the cattle on private land along the border can read the signs and not get all blowed up!

Great idea!!

Obviously you are a city dude!

Granted something needs to be done; that just ain't it. And neither are Nazi's going down there a good idea; They will only bring the heat down on responsible people trying to implement sane and lawful controls.

I agree that we have been waiting far too long for the US government to move. I suspect that the government is getting kickbacks from the cartels to look the other way, you have to understand the amount of money that is in play here.

It shouldn't happen, but it does, it happened before during prohibition and it's happening now.

I disagree that it's the right of the minutemen or the neo nazis to pick up the slack.

If they were truly a constitutional militia, they would have to be ordered by congress to act, according to Article I Section 8 of the United States Constitution.

Fighting a gang, with a gang, is no solution, all that is going to happen is a lot of innocent people are going to die. You have to fix the root cause of the problem or no amount of security at the border is going to help.

The problems are:

1: We have companies that hire illegal immigrants for slave wages. This attracts the non violent illegal immigrants to our country.

2: America has a lust for drugs, this gives the drug cartels the demand for their supply. If Americans weren't so insatiable about their drug habits, the cartels would not be in business.

The problem isn't the use of drugs by Americans, it's the fact that our laws don't reflect reality, and rather reflect "simple" idealistic notions about how America "ought to be" rather than the way it actually is.

Obviously a fence would be in the mix...I thought it was so obvious, there wasn't a need to mention a fence.

Not actually not a city dude

I don't think they're getting kick backs from drug cartels, the government has as much money as it needs. Heck it can even print more if it wants.

This attracts both violent and non-violent illegals to our country.

I don't think that America will ever ease it's drug use.. sad as it is. Some countries, especially in Europe in the 70-90's were able to curtail their drug habits, but mostly due to an increasingly prosperous economy.

Sending troops or building a wall won't help anything.. the only viable option is to make it as difficult as possible for illegal immigrants. Make it near impossible to get housing, renting etc, make it near impossible to find employment, make it impossible to receive free health-care (a pay first scenario unless it's an emergency) Make it impossible to enroll kids into public schools, etc. And fine any company hiring them to the point they can't stay in business, something like $50k per illegal and a minimum jail sentence for the hiring manager and or owner.

But at the same time the US needs to allow more LEGAL immigration, and refuse to do business with Mexican corporations that treat workers poorly. Why do Mexicans and not Canadians run across the border? Because Canadians have a good quality of life, whereas Mexicans, especially the Indian population, do not. Surely there is something that could be done to improve Mexico, a vastly wealthy country, so that people are not trying to flee it in droves.

The Government has money, sure.. Politicians however do not have an endless supply. It's been proven many times over the years, politicians accept bribes. I'd bet more than half accept them on a regular basis. The idea of a multibillionaire drug cartel bribing the most corrupt political body in the World does not seem far-fetched to me. Looking at their policies... I'd say it's quite obvious.

In an earlier post, this was the kind of action that I predicted would happen, it is going to go to the vigilantie style justice out on the border, and this is what I believe is going to happen. The first drug cartel they end up shooting will result in the Mexican army being deployed to the border of AZ and shooting back, along with the drug cartels. And those cartels have started to probe other parts of the country in an attempts to bring the drugs into the country. This is going to get explosive, I only hope that cooler heads will prevail and a war does not break out along the Mexican/US border. Something tells me that alot of the proimmigration groups may start attempting to get more involved and start a bit of violence on their end, creating a bigger mess.

The mossad who called the patriots Nazis must not be from the Americas,
originally. It's about time Americans took matters into their own hands,
as obviously the fed gov is not. The Americas are being invaded as is
Palestine by Israel. At least the Americans have more than sticks and
stones to do battle.

Simplify. Go America.

I'd say it's a touch of irony too. Back when the Nazi's took power in Germany, people weren't happy with how the Wiemar Republic was handling things with the Allies in terms of war reparations and the Treaty of Versailles. Oh, don't forget the fact that Germany had huge economic problems during this time with massive inflation. After a beer putsch and writing a book in jail, Hitler came to power. Viola Nazi Germany.

I hope we don't see history repeating itself in some ways. A lot of the same conditions that were present in pre-WWII Germany are present here now. People want someone to fix things, and get the job done. Hitler was a very charismatic speaker who promised change. Sounds familiar...

hahaha, yeah, because Barack Obama is totally like the second coming of Hitler, right? What with his excessive use of the jews and other ethnic groups as a scapegoat for the ills of society.

In my book, you are just as bad as the people supporting Nazis in this thread for equating the POTUS with Hitler. Pathetic.

So just out of curiosity...what if the militia goes out and starts wiping the border clean and then the federal government steps in and starts focusing the militia group in their sights? I mean, it's most likely a long shot idea but if it happens, could that trigger a civil war of sorts except militia vs. government?

Kudos to them though. Same here with the East Coast thing but I'm glad to see that someone's doing something.

It wouldn't work out like that, if the militia starts firing on cartel members the cartels are going to declare an all out war against the militias. The drug cartels are very well funded and heavily armed. What you would end up with is a gang war.

First, I voted for Obama, but he's not taking the initiative with any of the problems that have surfaced within the past few months, but that's another story. I didn't say that Obama used Jews as scapegoats or anything like that, you did. I just drew some similarities in terms of their ability to move crowds, taking power when each respective nation was weak and promising change. People in some circles would say that Obama has a socialist agenda, but that's neither here or there.

The other part that I mentioned was in regards to the National Socialist group that is taking part in this endeavor. I hope they don't use it as some type of platform to try and gain power and influence. I doubt that their motives are wholly altruistic

The part I mentioned about
