Clearly this problem has been going on for a long time, and has gotten far worse over the last decade under the GW admin, GW being the former Gov of Texas. This problem is deeply rooted in the CIA, which has had close ties to the Bush family from the beginning. These are details that people seem to want to ignore.

This is not a problem Obama could solve in his first two years in office.

You know what it's laughable, if Obama deploys soldiers these same people would be screaming to the top of their lungs that army is deployed against US citizens. They will say Obama turned USA into police state and blah blah.

I don't see that finger pointing will help the problem. Border crossings started way before GWB, and they are still going on under BHO. Both leaders are in a long list of those who let this happen. Part of the problem is not seeing the different face of the illegals coming over. No longer is it just a poor hard working man or woman looking for a better life. We are also losing control of our lands. We are told to stay out of places that belong to the citizens of the United States of America. That should concern those of both parties.

"220,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended in Arizona last year." And depending on who you are talking to that is only 20-35% of those crossing.

We are doing better with the additional equipment and boots on the ground, but still the numbers will be staggering for 2011.

Lastly, Arizona's Gov. Jan Brewer has asked that the 1,200 National Guardsmen be able to stay in the border states to help move this problem in a positive direction. Unfortunately if they are not extended then by June they will be gone. Article April 27,2011.
