To be fair, a month or two ago there was a guy on here claiming his father worked as a border patrol agent in Minnesota and was in shootouts (or was actually shot, don't remember) with Mexicans illegally coming into the US.

So, yes, people do complain about immigration from Canada...but they're still talking about Mexicans.

It is my understanding these people in this national park are not just illegal seekers of immigration. They are drug cartel para military groups with drugs, guns and other weapons. That changes things a lot. That calls for federal action.

Deportation has nothing to do with ethnic cleansing.

This is the head of the minutemen, just listen to his own words. Pay specific attention when he talks about the "work camps".

O.k... I saw the video.. so.. Whats your point? I paid close attention to what this guy said. All I heard him say we need to put them into work camps and make them work.

That is Not racist in any way. All he is saying is if they cross the border illegally, we need to put them in work camps. I suppose the thinking is that if word gets out that these people are being put in work camps they will think twice before crossing. It takes away their reason for coming here illegally. Makes them understand the free ride is over.

I did not hear this guy say, Lets put them in work camps because they are Mexicans. I did not hear them say lets put them in work camps and then send them to a gas chamber.

His buddy did say he thought they should be allowed to shoot on sight. That is no more or less than many other countries do at their trouble border spots. And he did say, After a few times of this they would think twice about crossing. He is not advocating mass murder. I believe you can shoot to stop a body and not shoot to kill. That would be good enough for me.

And people wonder why Arizona passed the law to crack down on illegals.

We have to ask, why does TPTB allow the border to be as it is? The simple answer is the Republicans want cheap labor and the Democrats want cheap votes.

What do we get? A border that is out of control, drug cartels using the Mexican military to literally invade us to help them smuggle their wares, lower wages for all, and let's not forget the occational e. choli contaminated foods that after a minute of government cover-up, is usually traced back to Mexico.

I almost forgot to mention the rapists and murders who run back to Mexico after they do what they do. What does the Mexican government do? They refuse to extridite them back for trial.

I'm not saying all illegals are bad. If I was stuck in a despotic pit like Mexico, I'd run to another country too. Problem is that enough are bad. Look at the gangs like MS-13 and others, and the fact that Pheonix is 2nd only to Bogata in kidnappings.

Then there's the hypocrite Calderone who insults us in front of Congress, and half of them applaude him! Mexico's immigration laws, which we could learn from, make Arizona's look like nothing.

We live in the Bizarro World. We're just screwed.....no other way to put it, elections in 2012 won't change anything, just change the corrupt thugs around.

It's not that anyone supports the Nazis, it's just that everyone is exasperated with the whole thing. People are literally begging the Federal Government to put a stop to the border mess, and they are either ignored, treated with reticule, are called racist.

Remember during the Great Depression, many in the intellectual elite wanted facism, as Italy and Germany were pulling out of the depression while it was getting worse for us.

Desperate people will turn to anyone who will give them hope in desperate times. If you think this is bad, wait until the economic doom hits due to bad fiscal policies from TPTB.

I don't think anyone is calling anybody nazi's except those who are calling themselves nazi's - which is the same thing as National Socialists unless you are not acquainted with the history of the Second World War - and yes, nazism is a racist ideology. I don't know if they believe themselves to be racists, but they do believe in "white racial supremacy" which I think most reasonable people would believe to be a racist viewpoint.

I don't think that these Nazis are gonna cause a big problem, they are using the Nazi name to stir up some trouble, I doubt they have the resources, training, manpower necessary to put up a defense of the border. Its just gonna be chaos.

Saying that, the defense of the border is necessary...would you let someone into your house without fighting back. Absolutely no. Just because your neighbor has a better house, more food, bigger pool, doesnt give you the right to go there raid his fridge and sleep in his room.

Your just guessing. You do not know anything of the sort. I tell you, if I were in charge of these work camps I certainly would not gas anyone or torture them or cause them to work till they died. I believe this world remembers these horrors so well, a civilized country like America would never do those things.

Chain gangs in prisons are also called work camps. We still have many of these today and they are not killing anyone.

That's for the regular illegals crossing the border. For these para military types in this national park, I would go in with Big Guns and round them all up.. shooting the ones who resist to stop them, re secure the border and take these people to jail to stand trial. I would televise the whole thing so Mexicans across the border can see it.

Can't defend the Arizona border? That the Feds would compromise our safety for their own special interests is not only immoral, it is criminal. It seems that everything they do is to intentionally undermine this country.

The way I see it the Fed is merely doing what a State would or should do if they believe the Fed is overstepping its boundaries. In other words, the fed is within its rights within the system we have.

Will the fed prevail? Who knows. Ultimately, the courts will decide.

I don't think you all are understanding me well.

I am all for securing the border. I do feel that our government isn't doing enough to protect the border from illegal immigrants crossing over. I do believe they should step up and do what they have to in order to keep illegals out.

HOWEVER.

When you get radical Neo Nazi groups and groups like the Minutemen involved, it's when I get worried. What troubles me more, is when people who are supposed to be free thinkers, praise these fascist slime for what they stand for.

Now, JohnPhoenix, you know as well as I do, that work camps run by civilians would quickly turn into torturous death camps. Especially if you allowed the Minutemen and Neo Nazis to run them.

I know where your coming from. Problem I have with many of my fellow Americans is that their blind rage toward the words illegals and cartels prevents them from seeing that this problem could be addressed and probably solved if they would just put pressure on the government to do its job.

However, I am not seeing that pressure. All I see is bashing.

Opinion polls and typing on the internet is not pressure.
